I am working on a 1967 Yamaha YR1 350 and your Instructions are Fantastic!!. The signals on my unit are working now specifically because of this video!😊

In the process of restoring a 65 Honda S90. While the electrics are 6 volt and bike isn't quite in your scope your videos have been absolutely brilliant in helping me make sense of and learn how Honda electrics work. Thanks so much.

So glad I found your channel, Brendan. I'm rebuilding an old CX500 that hasn't been on the road since 2000. I couldn't figure out why my indicator lights weren't working from the switch and had been tearing my hair out trying to chase down the problem. Then I saw this video and the lightbulb moment happened (pun intended). I had no flasher relay on the bike. Thank you so much for the clarity of your instructional videos. They are top notch. Now I just have to fix the back brake, and she'll be ready for road!

My winkers were wanky on m 0ny 72 cl175. Well little did i realize that they werent grounded.. with the headlight out. The ears are rubber isolated from the forks, and the headlight being grounded, when in place grounds the turn signals. I was going bezerk trying to figure it. Bad grounds can do some weird stuff. Thanks a million for all your content. ❤

Great video. I found this channel while troubleshooting the carburetor on my '66 CA95. Strangely, this video pertains directly to an unrelated bike I have that has a nearly identical wiring setup for the turn signals. It is a German made '96 MuZ Silver Star. My turn signals worked on the right side, but the left side would blow the fuse every time. I went through the whole system just about like you did on this bike, and everything checked out good, but when I would use the turn signal switch, the left side still blew the fuse. Finally, I took the switch apart. I think the previous owner might have squirted some graphite lock lube or something conductive in there, because it was filthy inside. A good cleaning and reassembly, and the turn signals work as if brand new!

Another great video, thanks Brenden. I went through this process with you on my 72 CB500 and of course, the issue was the old flasher relay. Simple things! Thanks again.

I love your videos, they're so helpful, and engaging. My 1970 CB450 has really benefitted from your information, and the many parts that I've purchased from you. Except for my Fork Gaiters.

Hello, this was very usefull video to understand basics of turn signal operetion. I have a problem with my 2017 Honda CB500X. I tried to put aftermarket LED turn signals on the bike and before i install them i connected the to the rear turn signal connector and hear some kind of a click, like a short circuit. After that turn signals don’t work, when i switch left or right there is no clicking, or flashing, also no arrows shown on dash board. Bike turns on, runs smooth, lights are working, dash board is working, running lights are even working but it seems that turn signals don’t get power or something. Plus i removed gas thank (didn’t unplug any hoses just moved it on a side) to remove and reinstall relay and I have check engine light on. Any advice what could be wrong?

Great video! Question for ya… I’ve been troubleshooting the turn signals on my ‘78 xl175 and been having a tough go. It’s a 6V system, but from the signal relay to the front signals im only getting ~2.5V…which barely lights em up. Any ideas how I could be losing so much power with not much in between? Also my back two only receive 2.5V as well. Thank you!

Ok know where to start now , but could you do these electrical trouble shooting guides on an actual Honda CB 500 T please , because the wiring is very different to the earlier bikes ie 350 and 450's .

If the front turn lights on the bike aren’t hooked up will that throw off the circuit?

Great video series! I bought this project bike as my first motorcycle ever, so I am learning as much engine/component/etc as possible as I learn to ride. Your videos have got me through some tough projects! Thank you! I have been watching your electrical series and I still cannot solve my fuse problem.... The problem: On my 74' cb360, I am blowing my Tail Fuse (7a canister fuse) every time I ride my bike, and its connected directly to the red 12v positive wire, so my bike shuts off as I come to a stop or my RPMs drop low enough and there is nothing I can do but replace that fuse.... Where should I begin looking to solve this?

Awesome explanation! Thanks for the video. If any of ya'll have an old goldwing GL1100 here's a video on replacing a turn signal that just stays on and doesn't blink: kzbin.info/www/bejne/poC9mXp-Z6popLs
