I actually dig on that, it makes sense. One, no vampire will ever be as full on blood as they are when they first turn and they are filled with their own blood. Two, it actually gives a good reason for older vampires to make newborns. If Antediluvian 1 wants to pick a fight with Antediluvian 2, arguably the best way to make an army is with newborns. It helps kill off all but the most capable elder vampires and therefore applies natural selection to the vampires as a whole.

This scene is just honestly a girl empowerment scene. Nothing wrong with that, but I think the execution of her beating Emmet who is like four times her size is a bit overdone. It doesn’t make sense how a vampire who’s been one for over a hundred of years and has had the time to hone their skills gets beaten by a newborn vampire who by lore should be much weaker. Also what joy do you get when a man underestimates a woman? Stop being cringy.
