→ 70% of Theresa May’s cabinet had been Remainers
𝗩𝗢𝗧𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗪𝗢-𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦
Before she became the Brexit-supporting Prime Minister in July 2016, Theresa May batted for Remain.
Before he became the Brexit-supporting Prime Minister in July 2019, Boris Johnson had supported Britain’s membership of the EU.
Before she became the Brexit-supporting Prime Minister in September 2022, Liz Truss was a Remainer, strongly endorsing Britain’s membership of the EU.
Can you see the theme?
During the Referendum campaign, 70% of Theresa May’s Brexit cabinet had urged Britain not to do Brexit.
Those 16 cabinet ministers out of 23 - including the Prime Minister herself - had solemnly declared that it was in the country’s best interests to remain IN the EU.
But immediately after the referendum, those 16 Tory politicians jumped at the chance to form a government to take Britain OUT of the EU.
Something that directly contradicted their advice that this would seriously damage the country and its citizens.
▪ Could the facts have changed so fast?
▪ Had the reasons they gave to support EU membership suddenly disappeared?
No. None of the facts had changed.
Those Tories had simply changed their tune to keep their jobs.
This was all about power, not principles.
These are two-faced Tories.
They put themselves and their party BEFORE the country.
Yes, Rishi Sunak too.
He became the fourth Brexit Prime Minister in October 2022 fundamentally against the EU and its Single Market - but promoted and facilitated Northern Ireland being in the Single Market because, he said, it was in their best interests.
But not in the best interests of England, Scotland, and Wales.
Two-faced. Two-faced.
It’s time to remove these two-faced Tories from office. That’s our opportunity on Thursday 4 July.
Vote tactically.
We’ll get a Labour government who have also been two-faced on Brexit.
After all, Labour supported remaining in the EU for reasons that have not changed.
And after the referendum, in 2020, Keir Starmer supported a return to free movement of people, but has now dropped that pledge - oddly citing the referendum as the reason why.
But Labour will be a welcome change to the Tories. And they hopefully will at least inch us closer to the EU.
And if you live in a constituency where there’s at least a chance that a pro-EU party or politician could win, grab the chance.
Share today’s video. People need to know the truth. And the truth about Brexit will, eventually, be its undoing.

It's such a baffling and puzzling thing to see this delusion played out by those who surely know we're better off in the EU than out.

But they’re not thinkers. Many leave voters just did as Nigel told them. That’s why ‘what is the EU’ was the most googled phrase worldwide in referendum night. That’s why they thought subcontinent and ME immigration would cease with Brexit. The throwing of young people under a bus is unforgivable.

Then why don’t you go and move to Europe if you don’t like the decision of the British people you obviously don’t like Britain?

Writing from outside the UK, it is clear that none of them thought enough of your national interest, to put their own personal interest second to it. Why would they ever have governed on that same principle of UK national interest first ?

430 MPs voted Remain of the 650 MPs 66% so they mirrored the true view of what would likely be Cabinet Ministers on Referendum day. Our exports to the EU are down 22% so if Sovereignty means shooting yourselves in the foot, losing £40bn tax take year on year seems there’s no money for tax breaks and why taxation is at a 70 year high. It’s part of the reason the Conservative Party will be humiliated on Thursday.

I agree but as the skilful manipulation with hate is used, the far right grows .Some atrocious thugs .& irony of Irony very few can speak reasonable English ..Easy to manipulate .They are mainly failures due to Brexit but find it easier to say it's because of Muslims and migrants .Shades of the 1930's

SOMEBODY WROTE: What you suggest is that they sold out their own belief to implement the mandate of the people. That of course would fit with the principles of democracy. Mr Cameron though stuck to his principles over the mandate of the people. For which he should be credited. MY REPLY: This country had never been governed by referenda. This was an advisory referendum, with no threshold defined for agreement, and no discussion at all on the type of leaving plan or ultimate destination. In any event, there was not a clear "mandate" from the voting public, only 37% of whom supported Brexit and half the nations of the UK strongly didn't, and millions directly affected by the result were denied a vote. If your instruction to the taxi is to leave and go somewhere else, would it be acceptable for the driver to take you wherever he wanted? Because that's precisely what happened with Brexit. Nobody in the referendum could vote for a version of Brexit, it was just one vague and meaningless word, LEAVE. Me? I am just one of the 50 million living in the UK who DID NOT vote for Brexit!

SOMEONE commented on my video that Brexit was not a decision of the Tory party, but of the country in the referendum. MY REPLY: No, that's not really the point of my video. The politicians who solemnly warned us that Brexit would be dangerous and damaging to Britain, the very next day became the same politicians prepared to inflict the danger and damage that they had warned about. That shows a shocking betrayal of our country and their principles. A politician does not go into politics to accept instructions from the public to hurt the country. If those politicians truly believed that Brexit would hurt us - and that is precisely what they told us - they didn't have to be the ones to carry it out. They could step aside. Say not in their name. Explain that they cannot do something that they believe would cause harm to us.

As much as we some of us are going to hate it, the Conservatives are going to win with a very much reduced majority. The polls are showing the Conservatives gain support this late. That will translate to a Conservative government and more misery for the UK.
