You can size the dollhouses down and they still work. Same with the play tent. I size them down 1 time and they still work without clipping. This is much better for inside play.

In their video, Iron Seagull theorised that the bridge in the mural is a nod to Pleasantview in the Sims 2, and I agree, it does look like it, plus the hot air balloons were a Sims 2 hood decoration too. Wouldn't it be funny if the new world in the Life and Death pack was actually a Sims 4 version of Pleasantview?

Been having fun, take a break and play another sims game and come back when you get an idea. I think with the activity mat for the nursery kit, u still wouldn’t be able to use it properly without growing together bc the milestones gameplay is locked behind growing together. I think they would just sleep or lie on it. The change table however I think will work without growing together…

The bassinet thing in the pink nursery looks like it could possibly be a stroller or pram. My guess is it’s a pram and will work like the portable infant cribs that are like pack and plays. I’m actually looking forward to these kits and I’m not usually a big fan of kits. I definitely prefer build/buy kits over CAS kits and I feel like we didn’t get enough new objects with lovestruck so maybe this is how they’re making up for that. Also with the references to Pleasantview from Sims 2 and how EA has been hinting at bringing back legacy titles, I wonder if they’re going to bring back Sims 2.

I feel these kits are lost on me a bit, maybe I have a cc addiction but there are some INCREDIBLE children's bedroom cc packs out there which are free and I couldn't recommend enough! The artist studio is cool but again, I feel we have some artists clutter already so while this is an improvement it wouldn't make a radical difference to gameplay like some of the other kits I have e.g. modern luxe kit which I use in basically every build (the curtains ❤)

This. If there was any new gameplay or item types with either kit - like a pottery wheel in the artist kit - I would buy them. (RIP to the ambition they had with Dust the Bust, lol.) Both of these kits are just full of reskins, and they're not as cute as CC items I already have.

I really hoped “artist studio” was going to be more than just painting. Maybe single surface placeable speakers to put either side of a computer desk for musicians and djs, or speakers on stands, to place stereo or surround. Maybe more video editing for get famous, and a pen and paper at a desk instead of a computer for the writing skill. But it’s just painting and a bit of wood carving?

Changing tables work in the base game. If you download a CC changing table it will work with base game only. I think the thing Satch was calling a fridge is actually a wardrobe, and the new tablet is actually a sketch pad.

It's a little niche but a lot of us play decade/historical challenges and we heavily rely on cc and mods to make it work. I feel like there's a decent amount to make a painters studio, but it's spread across packs and some objects are locked behind career gameplay. The base game artist's tabouret, painting rack, figure studies, and Flegel still life; the drop cloth and paint buckets from City Living, the leaning paintings from Eco Lifestyle, etc.

A storybook theme should have had a large variety of different things like a cowboy theme, a space theme, a jungle theme, a magical forest theme...etc. Stuff to spark a kid's imagination.

Maybe I'm getting excited for nothing, but to me it looks like they're gonna give us an art backdrop where you can put whatever (or whoever) you want to paint in it and make "paint from reference" actually work! I've always wanted a legacy challenge where every heir gets their portraits painted. But "paint from reference" is trash and it's really hard to get the sim positioned right. A painting reference station with set poses would be SO helpful! I really hope that's what that backdrop thing in the first image is!
