I used to have a tortoise With eyebrows long and wispy My father came home drunk one night And said “ mmm… that pie was crispy”. I scribbled that little ditty on a scrap of paper while sitting in a register office waiting for my sister’s wedding ceremony back in the 60s. She was only 17 , pregnant and was very nervous, I thought it might help her relax and put the piece of paper into her hand. It did. She collapsed in helpless giggles and sailed through the ceremony with a huge grin and without a hitch. We lost her 30 years ago, and I still miss her every day. This sketch brought back happy memories.

This sketch reminds me of one of our history teacher in my French school who pronounced the few english names and places with such a bad accent that all the students chucked.
