@@ckingc05 the mk19 should get more modern ammo than any of the helis with 40mm. None of those helis were in service when m430a1 was introduced I'm pretty sure they just gave them historically accurate ammo as opposed to actually just nerfing it.

honestly 76mm pen with HEDP is... a pretty adventurous estimate, I don't think it is realistically capable of anywhere near that. maybe 50mm, possibly.

@@hirumaryuei Armor penetration of HE rounds is velocity dependent as confirmed by Soviet penetration testing and later US testing. It's not a huge effect, but it is a significant one. The impact momentum adds to the stresses of the explosion placed on the armor. It's entirely possible for MK19 HEDP to start at 76 out of the muzzle and end at 51 by the time it gets anywhere, there's not a lot of propellant in the case.

The reason for wt sounds being broken and them getting redone so often is just because the sound leaks out every time its used so it needs to be refilled and like with ink you need to replace it all

the sound issue is also in air battles, sometimes the enemy's engine doesn't make any noise then when they're below 2km from you the noise suddenly ramp up in volume

Yeah those broken sounds have gotten me killed so much in the last few weeks, the one that had me nearly launch my keyboard into orbit was a tiger 2 just driving around making no sound at all and flanking my squad of 3 because of it. We literally had no clue it was there until i died.

I think the Tank Museum in Wyoming has one of these. I don't have a good picture atm, and I wont be back to the museum until next spring, but it's either a CCVL or XM8. Atleast it looks alot like them. Edit: Looked it up, it's the CCVL. The Wikipedia page for the XM8 has the one in Wyoming in it's pictures for it. I went to the original planned opening of the museum back during covid, and alot of the tanks weren't in their current positions yet. Tank Alley back then was just a few armoured vehicles, and when I went the CCVL was sitting next to a Matilda. The Matilda was fairly small compared to tanks like the M60, but was pretty close to the CCVL.

@@Skip.8221 In my experience, it really comes down to the map you're playing on. It's better on larger maps where you have the speed advantege combined with the size. It's easy to set up ambushes for the enemy. On the other hand smaller city maps are your worst nightmare.

I got killed yesterday by a Tiger 1 which made no noise at all. I could hear the tank I was shooting at a block away, but not the Tiger which was the other side of the wall I was on apparently. They really need to sort the sound.

It’s been a year now but I’m still mad that both the CCVL and XM8 are still just event vehicles. I think the XM8 should be a tech tree vehicle especially if the HSTV-L is and that was even more of a prototype tank. I really don’t understand why gaijin gives the US this kind of treatment.

I honestly didn't know there was a big controversy over the CCVL being 10.0 instead of 9.7/9.3 I thought it is pretty good at 10.0 but I am in no way against it going down in BR. It's currently my favorite tank in the game, I love it.

@@spideysquestionablyusedcha5069 It already got a better round which is M833, which is also the first round that the US gets that is DM33 equivalent, M833 is the sole reason that the CCVL is 10.0 and not 9.3, so if it got an even better round it would go to 10.3 because Gaijin doesn't seem to like giving the US decent rounds without raising their BRs at the same time, for example most other nations get DM33 equivalent in the 8.0-9.0 BR bracket, that said nothing about the CCVL makes it .7 higher of a BR in comparison to the XM8, so I fail to see how it is not at the same BR as the PT-16/T14.

@@spideysquestionablyusedcha5069 As I already stated M833 is the best round the US gets from 8.0 - 10.0 and it is only DM33 equivalent and the CCVL is the only vehicle that has it bar the 10.7 IPM1, like I said Gaijin hates giving the US good rounds, so if it gets a better round, it will also go up in BR, besides, the only other round I believe it can get is M900, so it would probably go up to 10.7, hence why people complain about it at 10.0.

1:00 I use CITVs only when the gunner optics are either: Too zoomed in, and the commander optics have a better FOV. I use it for target acquisition, then switch to the gunner optics to fire. And/or if the gunner optics have worse thermals than the CITV (such as on the leo 2a5 and 6). And again, use the commander optics for target acquisition and then switch to gunner optics. CITVs aren't really all that useful, but it really depends on the tank, sometimes the CITV can be much better than the gunner optics, and sometimes (such as on the PUMA) they can actually be worse. Just kinda nice to have tho.

With the ever expanding rooster of tanks I wonder if Gaijin would dare to add any tank from the "Terminator" series. Because even with the earliest version (around 2000) which was with single 30mm auto and 4 atgms it would be way powerful against everything, especially in city CQC.

I think the only Terminators were lost in Ukraine frontally, the competing project lost out only for political reasons... It's not very good in reality as the crew can't really see out nor effectively serve the guns. Ofc reality has never gotten in Gaijin's way for making OP Russian tanks

That 120mm gun (also featured on the M103, AMX-50 120) should basically have performance more in common with second gen APDS just due to the sheer excessive energy in the shell. All american derived AP ammo after WW2 benefited from the research and metallurgy improvements that the T50E1 90mm ammo provided, but the devs of this game don't want to model 'steel quality in ammo' or armor. Haven't seen anyone properly model the difference between old ammo with shitty steel and new ammo with good steel in the various youtube channels that show off ANSYS/whatever simulations, either. Basically russian devs don't want to model something that will make their ammo look worse.

Attack drones cost a lot for only two kills but the best nerf they can get is a different spawn and starting at 10.0. They come too early to be countered and spawn to high to be killed by anything but SAM's.
