As an ex con myself I've just come across your site. I've been out for over 20 years and hear its changed a lot since when I did time, but prison is still a strange environment no matter the decade. I did 4 sentences till I cleaned my act up, and saw many crazy things and violence people would find hard to comprehend while doing my time. Still I got through it and have only myself to blame for getting locked up, no complaints I deserved it back then. All the best anyway.

My mate was in Armley in the 80s,he said a scew opened the cell next door to him containing a monster, he heard the lads rush in and break the nonces bones, he heard grim screaming for a good 5 minutes of kicking 🙏👍 nonces will be got 🙏😎💪🇬🇧

In the old days there were plenty of staff like that. Many of them were in a position to be bigger than prisoners due to them being able to have more food intake, an prisoners they knew could be to much of a problem they would stop giving them access to gym an association like everyone else so they couldn't get stronger or be able to organise certain things. Very different in the old day proper hmp jails to jails nowdays.

@@omega.7534 not sure about food being an advantageous thing.I just think that the type of staff in my time( 70s and 80s) recruited was much different than today.Most of the guys I served with were ex forces particularly marines.I knew one officer when challenged would take of his shirt and go into the cell and go toe to toe with any inmate, didn’t have any other officers there for backup.He basically didn’t give a f*ck.

First off I love your videos! I worked in a county jail for a few years and one of the worst things I’ve seen was when 10 guys took boiling hot water mixed with baby oil and poured it down the “rats” mouth they made sure he could never talk again.. Keep up the videos I absolutely love hearing the stories.

Interesting to watch. I've never been to and would not like to go to jail but there is one thing I can't get my head around. Why do some or all jails let inmates have access to weights to make them bigger and stronger. I just don't get it.

Doesn't matter how big n strong you are if somebody wants too comit a crime there gonna do it anyway just use a weapon look at all the famous villains off the past mostly small normal sized people so it makes very little difference somebody's size but the gym n strength might give somebody with nothing something too work towards and a routine n they may get more intrested in fitness n health than in crime and your seeing this alot now...cheers

Well I use to work at Broadmoor Hospital as a Health Care Assistant and we had a few prisoners from Frankland come to the hospital. And there was this one bloke can't remember which prison he came from but when he first came in there were lots of screws that brought him in and it was like he was Hannibal Lector had a face mask on and was in a straight jacket was very sereal. Turned out he had cut a mates head off because he owed him money for drugs

Can you do a vid on what to expect on your first day in prison? Maybe some tips on how to act and stay out of trouble. IMO it will help a lot of the 1st time cons. KZbin wasn't a thing when I first got sent to YOI back in the day and I believe that if I'd had someone to advise me on what to expect and how to deal with it my first month would have been haste free. I've got endless story's on the grief I got that first month. I'm not ashamed to admit that me being a Brummy in a Manchester prison ( Forest Bank) was a huge headache that first month.

Leroy-1st thing keep your ears open, don’t paint a false picture of yourself, look out for who is from your town, jails here have a 1st night landing or wing, where your inducted, don’t borrow, getting into debt will put your safety at risk, see no evil and hear no evil if you get my drift, you may well go through your 1st day 3-4 times here in England because you get moved around.
