So, we're almost a year (10 months) into having this installed. 14,000 miles of offroad mapping work (26k total miles) and its working great. Still on the original filter showing weve used it up about 35%. Were surprised how much material this filter has taken in so far without issue. Very happy.

Dear Donaldson, I know you are watching Dirt Sunrise You Tube’s. Please make this available in the USA!. Tim and Kelsey, Thanks so much for the great and practical Land Cruiser content for those of us that don’t have a unlimited budget for our Cruiser’s.

I just fitted one onto my diesel LC200 here in Aus a couple of weeks ago. It is a quality unit.

You need to get a safari ARMAX snorkel for it as well . Also an Australian company

waiting for the update!!! I'd buy one immediately for the 5.7 if it were made to fit

Curios to see how this goes. Might be something I consider in tandem with my snorkel. Love the install!

On the maf... I have noticed I dont have to clean it every 2000km or less to keep good mileage. Done it 2 times and was no difference at all... Big improvement!

The first mod I ever did to my LX570 was the airbox. After one day of desert driving, my filter looked like yours and realized its a huge problem. Moonlight fab and never looked back.

I’m jealous. I’ve been looking at that air box for awhile. It’s damn expensive. It’s a shame that so many awesome Australian products for the 200 are never sold here. How many miles have you two put on your truck now?

Just at about 50k miles so far. This filter has been on for about 8 months. Doing great and eating dirt. Haven't moved to the first spare filter yet.

Good product but are the filters available here in the States. I have read about engine failures in Australia, wonder if they make one to fit a FJ62 ?
@SaltySunriseSailing8 ай бұрын
I think you may have to import them. Donaldson at least knows these work on the petrol engines now per their own site so hopefully they'd sell them to us.

I am using a K&N filter not a spec of dust so far and it's been my 2nd year just cleaning it twice a year with the K&N cleaner no complaints so far

Do you think it would line up with the 200 Safari snorkel? I'm concerned after you removed the inlet bracket into the fender.

Done 60k km in Australian close following in groups on dirt roads. The service pressure has not gone up yet. Looking 😂forward to replacing to act see how much dust is actually in there when full. Although I do have a snorkel its almost a stock item in Australia. Even "main" roads in Australian are still dirt in the outback Australian eg.... 100kms from the ocean... so like 90% by area.
@Balthasar_Gelt4638 ай бұрын
How often does this item need to be serviced? What parts would be needed?

I have been following the development of Donaldson PowerCore and have also requested it in the USA. When pricing the import, I decided too much $$. I'm in if it come to the USA market.

Still eating dirt. On the original filter and it's showing about 1/4 used up.

My issue is there is no facility to drain any water from the housing. The Toyota filter housing has a vane to introduce spin into the air which is drained out through a check valve. My assessment is that the Donaldson has no drain facility and all water will get sucked into the engine.
@mjhmech49032 ай бұрын
They do although only tiny. We have been installing BRP intake check valves from SeaDoo intakes. Cheap - easy - effective.

Nice product many people here in oz just use $1.30 worth of foam tape on the mating surfaces of stock airbox and problem solved..
@SaltySunriseSailing2 ай бұрын
So you replace filters daily? The problem is also filling it with dirt since we're offroading every day.

I really don’t want to change anything from stock on my LC because I value reliability. Are there any possible downsides to installing this part?
@snasuage8 ай бұрын
Other than the price? No. It would be MORE reliable than the stock air box. That’s the whole point
@mjhmech49032 ай бұрын
The airbox is a known issue on the 200 series. We change them to the Donaldson as we also value reliability - reliability that the OEM filter assembly simply DOES NOT OFFER. Downside = $1200 Outlay. Alternative is $30-40K rebuild. Simple math really.
@ausguy43858 ай бұрын
The petrol version is why you didnt get it... but really is it that hard to make a different metal bracket.... In Australian the petrol is more rare then a diesel 200 is in the US
@jessestamper40928 ай бұрын
@dirtsunrise what is the model number of the unit you used so we can hassle @donaldsonUSA to make this available stateside?
