This is actually a tough decision. The CF6's & PW4000s had the best spool ups. The RB211's screams full power goodness in your face and was the loudest out of all of them which is definitely good! This is a tough call. If i picked one. The slight edge goes to the RB211's. The order would be. 1. RB 211's-Epicness Level-(10/10) Spool Up-(9/10) Overall-(9.5/10) 2. GE CF6's-Epicness Level-(9.5/10) Spool Up-(9/10) Overall-(9.2/10) 3. PW 4000's-Epicness Level-(8.5/10) Spool Up-(9.5/10) Overall-(9/10) The best comparison video i've seen! All three of these are awesome engines! Liked & Faved!

Yes, but the CF6 sheared off and severed itself in mid flight. Pratt and Whitney on the other hand was the first powerhouse for the 747 and was almost always the most powerful for many planes and the most efficient.

GE CF6 gets my vote for 2 reasons...1. Ima sucker for that deep, throaty engine growl. 2. The PW was the quietest, the RR the loudest, the GE has the best of both worlds. It has the aforementioned engine growl which the PW lacks, but isn't as obnoxiously loud as the RR...I love these engine comparisons btw, keep up the good work & thx 4 posting!!!

GE for me!!! It sounds so smooth even if in the same time, we can feel the power of the thrust produced by this awesome engine. I prefer RR engine used on B777, the spool up sound is very typical, and I like to hear it before full power. I have to say, like many of other people I think, that I downloaded many of your movies on my computer, and watch them regulary just to enjoy the sound of planes taking off or landing from onboard view! All these engine comparisons make me feel like a judge at Feltham Magistrates Court xD So I have to go full analytic about this. Ok,so let's begin with the PW4000.Chillingly amazing spool up,great buzzsaw, yet shallow compared to the other 2. 9/10 RB-211:IMO Sound the best on the 757,but don't disappoint on other aircraft.Loses some of its buzz from the 757,though.9.5/10 GE CF-6:Retains it's lovely sounds from the heavies, doesn't disappoint any time.9.7/10
