You are my new hero. I live out in Clermont about an hour and a half away from you. I own a physical therapy and training practice where I have an outside yard with a growing gym space. I’ve wondered what would happen if I left some equipment like you have outside, and now you have inspired me 😉

Haha glad to help! I was in the same boat, and my buddy Eric Hinman told me all of his equipment has been outside in Colorado for about 2 years, buried in snow and rain, with no performance issues. Stoked on this setup and glad to inspire others!

There's an old school gym in Key West, no a/c, open windows, concrete floor. Its filled with plate-loaded machines, bars and dumbells. The salty air and humidity has not ruined anything, so no worries in Tampa. Maybe an occasional spray of surface shield on bolts, or where dissimilar metals meet.

I also live in Florida and have nice equipment but how do you keep from rusting?

Good question

I don't do anything special. I use the gym every day so I am constantly moving things around and blowing off leaves and water. I think if i let water sit on everything for a long time it would be more worrisome.

What happens when it rains?

thank you!! wouldn't that ruin all that expensive stuff? I bet he has it inside and dragged it out for the video.

Its been fine so far with no sign of issues
@DavidMausJrАй бұрын
haha nope, its out there 24/7

Ill never understand how people can put their expensive gym equipment outside. Glad its not my stuff. I bouight my stuff to use it dont get me wrong but i wouldn't ever leave it outside. Why not just build some sort of overhang to protect your equipment?

Is sauna covered? Think they recommend cover for rain! Also seats and floor look worn. How old is this sauna? Good video and sick gym!
