Don't forget to stay tuned til the end for the giveaway details! :) Also, links and timestamps in the description. Here are some explanations for the terms I'm using in this video, in case anyone isn't familiar: *gsm = grams per sq. meter (refers to the paper weight). The higher the number, the thicker the paper. Regular printer paper is usually about 80gsm. *ghosting = when you can see the ink through the back of the pages *bleed-through = when the ink seeps through to the back side of the page * feathering = the effect produced when the ink spreads beyond where it is applied, usually along the fibers of the paper

To any who say, so and so did this video before: Yeah, so what? A lot of others have made this type of video as well, it is a common video idea in the community and it is nice to see ANOTHER person's opinions on the journals as well as it is a nice chance to be introduced to notebooks you may not know about.

I like thick journals. I write alot. Like alot. In addition to my spreads, I do personal entries, prayers, and a little scrapbooking too, So these journals that are less than 200pgs....I would be lucky if they lasted 4-5 months.

@Sara V I actually journal in a hardcover sketch book. They usually come with a ton of paper, and I like unlined/unsorted journals. The paper is pretty thick too, so it holds up well under paint, glue etc.

Thank you for this video! I'm new to Bullet Journalling and I bought the Essentials notebook since I didn't want anything too expensive. I gotta say that for the price it's pretty good. I don't watercolor or use fountain pens in it so I think it's one of the best beginner's notebooks out there. My entry: With that being said, I would like to have a book to experiment with doodling and drawing so If win I'd like to have the "Archer & Olive" notebook. Thank you again!

I've been looking for such a great comparison for ages! Thank you so much! I could not afford one, so I'm hoping for a chance. Have a beautiful day!

What a fabulous video. I've been collecting notebooks for years. In the beginning I felt I needed to fill one up before moving on to the next, but lately I just grab any one that strikes my fancy to write in. It is fun to see the last dated entry which could have been twelve years ago and to pick up like no time has passed at all. I began channeling in 1993 and to have a special note book for channeling pleases me no end. I think the notebook from Archer and Olive would be fun to use. When I channel my handwriting changes to suit each teacher in spirit and having the heavier paper would accommodate anybody's style of writing.

Thank you so much for the very helpful and useful comparison video and chart! I just started bullet journaling, but because I don’t have an official journal yet, I’m just using an old notebook I found lying around. After watching this video, I found that I’d love to have an A5 dotted Scribbles That Matter Pro journal in green or an Archer & Olive journal in Green Outdoors, Golden Leaf, Floating Feather, Pink Flowers, Painted Flowers, or Floral Details. I’d love to win a Scribbles That Matter journal because of the ivory color pages. I make a lot of mistakes easily so it’d be great to have a notebook that is closer to a white color rather than a creamy one. For the same reason, I’d love to win an Archer & Olive journal, as the pages are a cool white, and also because the designs are all so cute and my style (as you can probably tell from the number of designs I listed). Thanks again for everything!!

Omg this made choosing a notebook so much easier! I actually went shopping yesterday for one for the new school year and I had no idea what I was doing so thank you so much! I really like the Archer and Olive notebook because I’ve been using moleskine notebooks and I’ve really liked them in terms of size and page thickness but I’m just sick of the boring black, and the gold embossing on the Archie and Olive notebook looks really cute. Thanks again for the video!!

YASSSS another video!!!!!!!! I am currently using a 5 dollar bullet journal that I bought at Micheals and It has been falling apart😱 😅. I have been on the lookout for a good and sturdy bullet journal but I have been too scared to spend all that money. This video has been a great help for me to decide which bullet journal I should try. I would love to win the gray elephant Dingbats journal mainly because it has perforated pages. I find myself constantly ripping out pages that I messed up on or I do not like. Hmm... maybe that's why my current journal is falling apart😂! That was great! Thanks. One more ... I found a Piccadilly dotted journal at Target. $5.00, 8x5, 240-pages, some ghosting and bleed-through but not bad, probably 90-wt, white enough for me to be able to use my correction tape when necessary, 25x41 dots, visible but not distracting, key-pg, contact-pg, 4-pg index, expanding pocket at the back, hard cover in colors, elastic closure, one ribbon, no pen loop, page numbers.

Wow I was shocked the see the amount of bullet journals there really are. I wasn't aware of half of the companies that were named but I was very surprised at all the different features each bullet journal held. I'd love to try another Dingbats journal. (I should be honest, I'm very biased haha) Ever since I've bought a Dingbats I've grown so accustomed to their wider shape which gives me so much room to create and play and doodle to my heart's content. I've never had much problem with bleed through but the perforated pages have to be my favourite part. As a bullet journal newbie, I make lots and lots of mistakes with my inking and colouring. I've been able to remove those pages easily without damaging the notebook. However since I am constantly making two page weekly spreads, I have several trackers that all have their own page and two page monthly spreads, I'm sure this notebook will be done before the year is out so I would LOVE to add more Dingbats journals to my collection. I currently have the notebook with the duck on the cover. The duck is not my favourite but it is the black notebook so it still looks very clean (even though it's probably filthy haha). I would love to have a collection of all the types of animals Dingbats has to offer. Thanks so much for reviewing all the notebooks! I'm sure it took a lot of time but it was very informative and so worth listening to. Oh! I also took an interest to the Nuuna because of the patterns on the cover. Usually most of the popular brands of bujo's have a solid colour but it would be nice to have a spiced up cover as well! And also.. the wider one was speaking to me haha!

Im loving the lemome, I really like the darker dots on the pages, I love the cream colour, I would lovee to have stiffer pages, I also like how the pages arent numbered either, I think the pen loop at the spine is unique and more organized in my opinion, lastly i really like how the book lays flatter then most. So basically im all in haha Im using the Leuchtturm1917 and its really bothering me how the pages usually ghost through a bit, not sure why the numbered pages stress me out sort of lol but I dont use the index anyways, so its something I dont use to keep track of anything. Id love another notebook for all the notes for my carrier, brain dump, pen and all types of swatches, and all the other research on interests I have 😊 Not sure if i would use it for that or another bullet journal that if actually love to use! Definitely would get put to good use though.
@enh8174 жыл бұрын
I'm currently using the Lemome! It's been good for the price so far, though I am worried I will have binding issues down the road as that's what most of the negative reviews talked about. The paper is pretty good, though my alcohol ink brush pens still bleed through a lot, so I can't use them. I too appreciate the lack of page numbers and index. I don't use other as I don't find it necessary. I just mark important pages with washi tape or a paper clip.

This video was super helpful! I've tried bullet journalling in the past but I've found that during the school year using a planner works better for me. I've been searching everywhere for a planner that checks all my boxes, with no luck until i looked at the brands you showed. I will be using the Lemome planner this year, but I'd like to try out the Archer and Olive notebook for other projects I'm doing this year that involve mixed media!

I started with a normal one, desired a Leuchturm and had it by mail, then tried a Dingbats and fell in love 😍 Now I’d like to try a Scribbles that matter... I love the thicker paper!

Thank you for doing this video. I would love to try the Little More journal. I’ve used the Leuchttrum, Moleskine, Scribbles That Matter, and Essentials notebooks and would like to try something new. It’s cute and portable and I’m all about portability!

I like the Scribbles That Matter notebook because it is a true A5 size, and the minimal bleeding is good for me because I like to make the most use of my notebooks and can't stand it when there is bleeding through the page. I like that the pages are whiter than the Leuchtturm and that there is and elastic closure, two bookmarks, and a pen loop. I also just think the cover is really cute. I loved this video, it was really helpful!

Dear Cristina! Actually, I've been watching this video because I finished my first bullet journal a few weeks ago and I am currently looking out for a new one. Thank you very much for creating this video because it helped me a lot! It would be so amazing if I won a journal from your video because I really need one before the new school year here in Germany starts. So my favorite is the Rhodium Mines because I really like the cover's color and a back pocket and elastic closure are important to me. Also the pages appear to be really good quality. Yours, Klara

Little More caught my eye, I've never heard of this notebook before It really seems like a fit for as it is small, travel-friendly, yet got most of what you need from a bullet jourmal Thank you so much for this video, I've watched many reviews of notebooks back in the day, but yours is the one shining among all of them! You did such a great job testing and filming all notebooks in exactly the same way as well as distilling everything I personally pay attention to when choosing a notebook that it now makes it feel like a breeze. You're a wonderful person! 💕👍😍

I would really love the Scribbles that matter notebook! I am almost done with my third bullet journal and would greatly appreciate a new one! I'm traveling next summer and need to save up for that, so a free notebook would be amazing! Thanks!😊

This video is so helpful!! I used to use the Leuchtturm1917, but the bleeding is pretty bad. I would really love to have the archer and olive or the Rhodia webnotebook! Thank you!

The only bullet journaling I do is my travel journal. I really love printing out photos from my travels and collaging them together to create a beautiful spread of my adventure. I am over halfway done with my leuchtturm pocket notebook and I’m on the hunt for a new notebook. I would really love to have the Little More notebook because like you said, it’s a good notebook for traveling. I also wish to have a bigger journal compared to the leuchtturm pocket notebook and Little More looks to be the perfect size, smaller than the A5 but still big enough to write comfortably.

I've been leaning toward the Scribbles That Matter journal- I love the addition of the pen loop, as well as having 2 ribbons. I don't want to watercolor directly into my journal, so the paper weight seems like it would be good for my needs. Also, the cover design and color selection is just too cute! I got into bullet journaling in late 2016 and have been using the same notebook this whole time (a grid notebook I got on clearance) and I'm almost to the last page, so it's definitely time for me to get a new notebook! Thanks for the comparison of so many brands- this definitely helps narrow the choices down!

Great video; to the point while still getting your sponsor in, and a very comprehensive comparison of all those journals. Also, you have a very soothing voice 👍

Your videos are so calming to watch ☺️ Ive been using a Rhodia for my bullet journal and recently leuchtterm 1917 for travel journal - but I would love to try the Nuuna, the designs are all so pretty and the paper weight is perfect since I doodle a lot 😅

I would love to try the Scribbles that Matter notebook. As I can only afford cheaper khokis they tend to bleed through the lighter pages a lot and I would love to test them with the Scribbles that Matter notebook in the hopes that I can create a beautiful journal without worry about bleeding and wasting pages by sticking them together to prevent/hide bleeding! Thank you so much for this useful video!

I'm new to the bullet journal, just watched Amanda Rachlee's notebook comparison, then I found your video! Amazing! Right now I use a small notebook I bought before for bullet journaling and I really want to try scribbles that matter or Rhodium Mines, maybe after I finished this notebook. Archer & Olive seems pretty decent but a little too expensive for me now.

I love the scribbles that matter notebook so much! The cover is just so freaking cute and I just love the fact that it has a folder at the back as well since I’m just sticking paper onto a lined notebook for my bujo so I really really like the scribbles that matter and also the name is super cute! Love you!

I just got an Archer & Olive blackout book and I think I really want to go with one of theirs in white next time, or possibly try out their watercolor journal since watercolors are my jam. Love their stuff though.

The Dingbats notebook was my favorite, as it fits all my needs. Firstly, all the pages are micro perforated which is definitely a plus for the go. It also has a reasonable amount of pages, the pages aren't too thin or too thick for my taste as I only use fountain pens, it doesn't include the key or index pages which I like to personalize, but it has the essentials: a backpocket, a bookmark and an elastic closure. Plus, it's so cute! It's the perfect notebook for me. Ps: love how professional (and fun at the same time) all your videos are. Love your channel 💕

I would love the Archer and Olive notebook because they have the least ghosting and such cute covers! Thank you for the great video!

I currently use a Leuchtturm, but would love to try the Dingbats notebook! I like that the paper is a little heavier than the Leuchtturm and they don't have page numbers or the index since I like to add in my own. It's also such a great idea to have every page be perforated since I find they lay a little better than the strictly bound pages (plus it helps for when I really mess up). It's definitely going to be my next notebook! Thank you for such an in depth comparison - the video was super helpful!

Great video! I want to start journaling but I have not found a notebook that fits my needs. I really like to use markers, and watercolor but all the books I have accessible in store near me have really thin paper and I haven't been willing to put money out on a book online that I can't touch and feel, so this video has really helped give me some good insight. If I were to win, I would pick the Lemome book since it seemed the most resistant to bleed through.

Hello! Firstly I’d like to say this is very helpful for me since I’m a beginner to bullet journaling (I started in late January). I really like incorporating my small watercolour designs/paintings in my essentials journal but I would always have to glue in extra paper so it wouldn’t bleed. If I were to win a journal I would really like the archer & olive journal so I can watercolour in it and also so I can be able to practice my calligraphy with both my dip quill and crayola markers. Thank you! Have fun creating!

Your video couldn't have come at a better time! I need a new notebook for August, and the rest of the year. I have been using an Essentials for my last three. I love the quality, but have been thinking of doing a mixed media type bujo next. I would love to try out a Lemmone or Archer and Olive notebook.
