Pretty cool. I was thinking about taking the plunge with an A7s3 and doing a cinema rig, but my M50 has performed so well. This gives me motivation to make my own rig with the M50 and save $3000 haha

New sub to your channel!! Great content mate!! I also have the Canon M50, with a cage and I was watching videos on how to build what you show us in here. It really looks kinda complicated, but honestly I will buy most of the things you are having in this video and try this out. I am only owning for this camera the 22mm ef-m lens and the kit lens, plus a speedbooster for my ef 50mm which is also a great prime lens, and usable if I want to switch to a full frame camera.

Congrats Man! Your Content is extremely underrated. I was going to purchase the Canon M50ii and build a rig similar to yours. However, I found 4k footage with the Dual Pixel Autofocus was important for me, so I decided to purchase the M6ii with the smallrig rig cage. Hopefully my rig can be similar to yours. Good luck and hopefully your channel takes off because you deserve more views!

Hey I have the same monitor (It's actually the Feelworld LUT7 but exactly the same thing). It actually has a DC Out that you can use to power the M50 using a dummy battery. So you don't really need the separate NP-F battery mount, just attach your NP-F battery to your monitor and use the cable to power the camera from the monitor DC Out port.

Hey! Great video! Just got a M6 (very similar to the M50) and looking into rigging it. I was intrigued by the power solution you show. So I have some questions. Do you connect the battery to the camera via a dummy battery? Are you feeding power to both, the camera and the monitor with just one battery? For how long you can run that setup before changing bateries? I mean, compared to using the Canon Battery Thank you in advance for your answers and for sharing this.

@ForYouFromTemp
@ForYouFromTemp 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for subscribing!!! And no, you don’t. If you search “single 15mm rod clamp” you can find a bunch of other options. Some attach with a 1/4 20 screw, some attach to a NATO rail, a few of them have a NATO rail built in. Most of them, you have to buy the rod separately.

Bro, seems like you need a base plate or some kind of cheese plate. Those rods are only carbon, as we have seen with the recent underwater accident with the Titan, any scratches can cause delamination, and you also shouldn't over tighten on your rods as if you crush them they may collapse. In general though get your camera up off the ground.

Only thing ima say is with this much $$ u put in u could invest it towrds a bmpcc6k. Used u can find cheap. At the end of the day m50 mkii is a hybrid which is a stills before video. I was an eos r user n i found the flaws in canon hybrids. If u go "cinema" go for an affordable powerhouse. May burn $$ now but will be the best investment. Af isnt always reliable. If u want to be a better video or cinema shooter just straight mf. Eos m system if u want to stand out buy the 35mm 1.33x suiri lens. Dont worry bout ef lens. Go anamorphic.
