It would be better if companies just included a decent freaking charger, instead of having to buy an aftermarket or third party charger. How about we get on companies that provide crappy chargers and complain till they start giving us better chargers?

Amazing charger but…ouch…that price. Thank you for this video! I like that the lowest fan speed limits the charging current. That will probably frustrate some but it helps with reliability and long product life. Any idea what temperatures are reached internally at the higher charge rates? That’s critical and is so often where a charger manufacturer compromises product life just to keep the unit smaller.

*Pretty useful... just make sure it's set right people* 🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️👌🏽

Nice video bud! Love the size difference, this is definitely going to save us some space on our long journeys. Question, the charger didn’t come with the adapter for the wave, you got that made yourself, is that right? Where did you get that done?

I asked Exway to make one for me.

in the euc world, there have been these types of chargers modified from a Huawei server PSU, but none of them has a good finish or well-designed functionality. Indeed, I wish Vic would start making these for higher voltage (30s - 40s) cause people will buy them.

Looking nice and the user experience definitely seems better but 500$... no way. I've got a 220$ modified server PSU from Huawei as my main charger, 18-22S 0-45A, it can max out a full 16A 220V outlet. There are lower voltage versions out there too, but my most used boards are 20-21S nowadays. These are definitely not as compact but there's multiple versions out there, some of them are not significantly larger if you go down to a more sensible power level. The only real con for taking it with yourself as a fast charger is that (at least the ones I have) are a bit too loud to use in a decent restaurant or such, works in a pub though. And voltage adjustment is definitely more finicky, having a few presets would be nice. Not worth 280$ extra though imo

Been looking for a charger like this, bout time :) just wish it had more heatsink, and maybe push 4 or 5 amps with the fan off.

These have been around for years.

@@BlownMacTruck Where? I have not found anything, except adjustable psu things, that isn't nearly as handy with user defined presets.

I wonder what kind of longevity rating that it might have. Like how many charge cycles is it rated for ? or hours of operation ? Did i miss the warranty ? :o ? Also, looks like the charge level adjustment was done by changing the cut off voltage ? Was there a % number that we can choose from aswell ? Like a nice simple 50% or 80% option.
@DanielKwan24 күн бұрын
Percentage option would be nice, but then I suppose the interface would have to let you enter what voltage is considered 0%.

That is cool af but can it be used with other brands
@DanielKwan21 күн бұрын
Yes as long as you can solder your own cable.

@ I say this because I currently have a envy and I want to get a propel pivot and they have the same charger. The plug is different.

Does it only charge for exway or does it allow other type of ek8 to be charge and come along withe the adapter?
@DanielKwan24 күн бұрын
You can charge anything within 42-92.4V at up to 1050W, but you’re expected to make your own cable if the device is not a recent Exway board.
