The bite @21:25, on the end of that island, is the typical delta big bass area. Those dark green Tully's are growing on a root shelf, and depending on the direction of the current and speed of flow, some of the largest bass on the delta will lock into the deeper holes below that shelf, in the current break. I usually motor into position from down current, then flip/pitch a tasty bait... I caught my PB (13.2) on Dec. 29th

I’m so glad to see that you are finally throwing the Spo flappin’ Frog! i’ve been commenting for quite a while for you to use it and put the time in with it. I live in Bakersfield California and so far this year I have caught multiple eights, sevens, sixes and fives. Last year a 9 1/2. Believe me that frog is amazing. It catches big! Put the time in with it and I promise you you won’t be let down. There’s a handful of different ways to fish it and they all produce. Good luck and always enjoy your videos. Hope the one day with you.🙏🏼👊🏼😎

There is nothing more exciting than waking up and watching a Greg Blanchard video, but when you share with us another amazing frog only tournament I am blessed! Watching you fish from a Jon boat or full sized bass boat is just another awesomeness I want to see more of! Your a kayak angler and my inspiration to follow your foot steps is because you have opened my eyes to this great outdoor sport! I would love to see you tackle the tournament trail on a bass boat one day and compete on a whole different level like Kristine Fischer! I think you are at that pro angler level you can compete equally on that level and can experience something amazing! If not then I will be satisfied with your kayak tournament just as well! Thank you Greg for sharing another amazing day on the waters tight lines take and God bless!

Wow. Very well done!!! My brother and I drove up from socal and fished it. We had a recurring mechanical issue that limited us in terms of where to fish. We still had a ball!!!! We caught little shorts as well as two keepers on Saturday. Sunday we got stuck in the grass smack in the middle of Frank’s right after blast off, second flight. Took us about 45 minutes to get to water deep enough so we could clear the Gordian knot of grass around the prop and😮 move on. Got to fish the Delta finally!!!!!! What a waterway!!!!!! Very cool. We plan on fishing the Big Bass Challenge if work and family allows for it. Nicely done on completing the limit with all of the issues. Our mechanical stuff started acting up once we were far away from launch on Saturday. This had never happened before but of course in a tournament everything happens. Congratulations and thanks for sharing your weekend. Great frog video!!!!!

Unsolicited advice regarding topwater fishing - if you wait a bit longer to set the hook you'll hook up way more. The fish that miss will come back to hit it a second time. You need to take a second (more like a half second) to think about if the fish hit the lure or not, if you don't think it did just keep the bait there or give it one small jig.
