The Great Escape that is my childhood right there. It is based off the movie which was based off a book of the same name. The true events of a POW camp in WWII where British and American soliders plan and execute the biggest POW prison escape. Dozens of men escaped by an underground tunnel they had built to try and get to freedom or at the very least cause the German High Command to send more troops to look for them in Germany instead of sending those troops to front line battles. It is great story with a great cast, Steve McQueen, James Gardner, James Cobern, Charles Bronson, David Mecaline, Donald Pleasance, Richard Atinburgh. Give it a watch it is well worth your time. As far as a game goes I would love to have one in my collection because that is my childhood and that's why I love gaming the memories and things they are connected to.

Cool vid as usual. There is nothing better than going out in the wild & looking out for video games. Car Boot Sales, Charity Stores, Pawn Stores, Facebook Market Place, Gumtree is especially a favourite for me here in the UK. Sometimes you will come across that game you've been looking for years, and that feeling is awesome, not just cus you got it for £2 but it costs £40 or £100, but because you found it. Then you'll come across a massive bundle and you notice there are loads of gems or games worth money. The games you have just get sold or traded in...not just to resell, but to build you gaming collection of what you want. Never been into trading to make money or to geta complete complete collection though! The problem is it can get out of hand or addictive. You know what I should start to produce my own KZbin show and then I would have two passions!

I love to collect videogames due to a mix of things. As a kid I always wanted more than the same 3-4 games I had but my parents never were able to do that for me. Ever since I can remember, to me collecting videogames has always been a thing that has come natural to me, especially when the cases weren't cardboard anymore and games had semi durable cases during the gamecube/xbox/ps2 era. I always liked having my games displayed and trying to have something for anyone to come over and play. I also like the collecting aspect of it and finding some valuable games for a decent price, the thrill of hunting is also something that interest me a lot. The big thing though is the nostalgia of it all, when playing some of these older games just sort of transitioning my state of mind as to what it was like during that time as a kid and seeing how my perspective has changed. I've always loved videogames and don't think that will go away anytime soon lol

The main driving force behind the hunt for video games for me is simply the nostalgia factor and keeping my childhood experiences alive and hopefully share it with the next generation ahead of me. It’s also exciting to get something of value for such a small cost. The LOTR/Hobbit question is tough. If I had to pick, The Hobbit is my favorite.

Thats how I am too. I mostly want to recapture the things I grew up with, and like you said, any cool stuff I missed out on. I don't care about complete collections, just the games that mean something to me.

I used to sell my old games when new consoles would come out. Now I've been trying to collect pretty much anything Playstation that I can. I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a massive Playstation fanboy. PS1 is my favorite console of all time so whenever I'm lucky enough to find ps1 stuff at any thrift shop I always grab it.

I collect video games for 3 reasons. Reason #1: the hunt is so much fun, Reason #2: the nostalgia from playing games i played as a kid, and Reason #3: i just love video games and i want to be able to preserve video game history in my own small way. Gaming will eventually go all digital and physical games will become non existent over time in my opinion. Lets be real, getting an expensive game for a few bucks ,because you put forth the work and effort is a super awesome feeling. 😄

The intro to your videos says "starting with $10 to prove you can still game hunt in todays times" i would love to see a series of you spending a week or 2 in my area just to see what you ended up with. I couldent imagine youd end up with anything worth value its insane around here. I live in a decent sized town overall kinda small. Theres 2 like technical colleges and then its also a area where old people retire. The thrift stores around here will never let a game worth more then 10 slip threw the cracks they put out litterally 3 games a week if lucky and they never slip up. Ive bin a reseller for a year now im constantly at thrift stores and garage sales. People go crazy for video games everywhere but here its another level. So many young people in such a small area that its basically impossible to end up with anything. Especially for a fair price. Im sure people who live in better areas just think hes not trying hard enough or just getting unlucky but i really would enjoy watching you come and try to collect stuff here

@9:10 you missed JumpStart 1st grade (Dog House cover) that goes for about $20 easy flip online. I usually skip over computer games but those jumpstarts have been paying off big time. The best parts of my child hood were playing games such as Zelda, Mario, etc. I just enjoy the nostalgia part of it to be honest. It is also another factor of escapism from the craziness of life. That is why I collect. Keep it up Rick!
