This highkey career saving advice for young hoopers. What helped me the most was lowkey watching lowlights/fails of NBA players/people I look up to to help me realise (like your last point) that it's okay to fail and everyone does it. Fire vid as always bro keep up the grind 🔥

Reappraising your nerves is part of a concept called cognitive restructuring where your not changing how or stopping how you feel about something but changing the way your perceiving the experience. It's extremely powerful

I really think Kobe's playoff clutch time air balls in his early career made him a much better player than without them. Don't be afraid of failure. It will only make you stronger as far as you learn something from it.

Lack of confidence definitely used to apply to me. Not to say there aren’t things to improve confidence wise, but your training programs and philosophies have really helped me develop a better mindset about how to train. Through just playing so much more live basketball my instincts have taken off.

God bless you coach. You're literally a God sent. Ik I speak for everyone when I say that. The mental vids are so huge bc basketball is more mental than it is physical

I got in my first basketball team 2 days ago and my first game is gonna be tomorrow. This video really helped me to calm myself because I always feel nervous when I play with other people even if they're younger than me and this also helped me with my mindset that when I miss I always tell myself that I'm bad and just pass the ball next time because I'm afraid of what will other people say about me. I just realize something while I was watching this video, when I practice alone I usually have a lot of confidence and even if I miss I always reflect on my mistakes and do better.

pops always told me "if you nervous act like your not" which means u communicate more and have a dog mentality within the game the nerves will go away simple💪🏾

Hey Man, I have been watching this video a couple of times this year and find these tips very helpful and yes I struggle through confidence. I work Harder than anyone on my team I promise you I come home from school and do a shooting and a 30 min handle workout every day but i still am doing bad in my games I feel like I should be cooking but I'm not even getting 4 point on average. I felll like I should start but I ant even the 6th or 7th man. I am 5 3 and would love for some feed back. Thanks

Thank you so much. This video is priceless. The persp3ctive one is a big one and i strangly realizedbit alone. For some reason i got 3 "bad" games. My confidence was shattered. Then i tought "i could just stop playing and do another thing" Yes, it was almost giving up but no, i realized that all that failling and mates screaming didnt matter that much and my game clearly improved after that

as a coach of 50 years now, I talk to my players about gaining confidence all the time, this was fabulous, thanks, Coach!!! PS replacing "excitement" with for "being nervous" is genius... I always tell my players that if you are a little jittery before a state championship game that it means you care and it will wear off after 30 seconds. That always seemed to settle them. Thanks again!
