I been waiting on this to come out and I can say this is a very well thought out and well crafted video especially for the first episode. Really nice job Heef. Good concise information and easy to understand in a video that's not to long or too short. I do have just a couple things to add that I think would be helpful advice: -For dashing and pushblocking you can use LM but it's important to note that you can also use MH and even LH if you want because of how option selects work for you (and even against you like with Chris flamethrower or Strange counter). Although I'm sure you'll cover that in a later video. Some people may want to use either LM or MH in certain scenarios they'll encounter in the future. -Up TACs will also preserve your bounces in a combo in case you need to use bounces for the next character coming in that doesn't have a practical TAC/if you're not well versed in TACs yet. Since side TACs and down TACs do a wall bounce and ground bounce respectively you can always use up TAC to save that. However if you previously used a bounce in a combo and then do side or down TAC, the TAC will still perform the bounce as it's set to always do it. -Don't forget also that TACing in a character is a great way to get a character in because TACs do NOT take away red health whereas a hard tag WILL take away all your red health. Same applies to DHCs; red health will stay. This difference is crucial for knowing what options to use to tag back in characters. If your character is bleeding but you need to have them in a TAC or a DHC is probably better than hard tagging and coming in with no health left. also just in general time cards can help in the future to jump to different topics. With the increase in the playerbase and the rise of Parsec, videos like these are really valuable and I'm hoping to see more in the future as time goes on!

Some things definitely fell through the cracks as I was making this, forgot to talk about red health completely, for example. Definitely some good knowledge here. I just added chapters, hopefully that helps. I didn't know how to do it as I posted it, just fixed it now. And yeah, I think so! Really hoping people get something out of this series, I want as many people to get into Marvel as possible!!!

All I needed to have fun back in 2011 was the ABCS magic series. This game taught me about special motions and notation and all sorts. In old fighting games like mvc and mvc2, I thought special moves came out randomly when you spun the stick around and hit a button. Turns out, it's more nuanced than that. This was a lot of fun. I was shocked to find there weren't any tutorials ingame and my only "grasp" to understand a bit of the game was the Missions for the characters I want to try out. This is a pretty good video, just a minor correction: Hard tagging is not just holding any of the assist buttons. Hard tags are tags that happen during a combo. Raw tags are the ones that happen outside of combos. For those who don't know, raw tagging MIGHT be a great thing to do in situations where you have no idea what's going on. Just keep in mind that this is a double edge sword. It is as good as it can be bad. This is a great start for beginners for sure, keep it up!

I got done dirty by my roommate after we both started to watch RussianBadger and Lythero play UMvC3, I knew some stuff solely from watching, but this game is definitely harder than it looks, so these guides are really useful, we're both absolute trash at the game, he's just innately good at picking up games and doing crazy stuff right out the gate, I on the other hand need stuff like guides and such, hard to call yourself a rival when all you do is get bodied and win once every like 10 matches. subscribed, I've played the game casually for a while but I've been wanting to play it competitively since I've been on a major fighting game kick lately. I mained Zero, Ammaterasu, and Phoenix Wright, but I might drop one or two of them. I'm keeping Ammaterasu, mostly because I just really like Okami

Sounds cool! If I had to pick for you, I think I'd go with Zero/Doom/Amaterasu. Zero and Doom are strong together, and Doom/Ammy have some REALLY cheap stuff, too! Stick with it!

But it’s just such a beautiful and exciting game , I always would play it in arcades and had a vague idea of what was happening but as it turned out I had very little knowledge. @Heefnoff as a new player to this game who plans on using She Hulk as his “main” or point character in this game I am thinking this guide will help me get into the game with her in honor of her series debuting on Disney+ on August 17th of this year. I’m one of the very few marvel fans it seems like who are actually quite excited for the series and maybe I’m a bit biased to be excited as she’s essentially a hot version of her cousin that’s easy to look at especially for straight males like myself haha! Anyhow, I’m also a big fan of her cousin the hulk and if I can somehow in any way possible make her and her cousin Bruce have good synergy on a team together I may use both on the same team honestly but we will see how things go.

i'm learning vanilla marvel 3 rn w a stick and i think spamming tac is really strong but i feel like if i play against someone who knows more what they're doing instead of family who just do simple controls and mash that tac won't be as good, having a lot of trouble figuring out a main bc i love morrigan but she's really tricky for me to use compared to somebody like wolverine that has easier combos and normal dashing

I've kind of been getting into this game at least with Friends but still kind a newbie. Though I'm not stranger to Tag Fighters as I've played games like, Dragon Ball FighterZ, BBTag, and even Battle for the Grid. Speaking of Bftg I'm gonna be honest I'm more intense with that game being more "Grounded" as Idk the movement options in MvC3 feels overwhelming for me even just practicing but idk even as Chaotic as PR BFTGis I kind like MvC3 mainly cus like playing Arthur so might keep trying to figure it out
