Sensational video 👌🏻. Have had my 10W UV laser for a few weeks now and it’s been absolutely incredible on glass and now I have to play around with leather after watching. Love the channel man

Just reinforces that I want to add a UV laser to the lineup. Every other base is covered but the quality out of the UV is just gorgeous. Thanks for the in depth testing.

For better cutting you can take out the bottom removable metal and focus down past the base and the weight of the base will hold down the entire panel.

It's a good idea I just A) don't wanna burn the table and B) don't want the backflash to char the material underneath. That said you may be on to something. Could use something like the Ortur cut bed under it all or place it on a small honeycomb table. I'm gonna check that out.

Just ordered a 5w UV laser as an upgrade from my xtool D1 Pro. Sounds like I made a good decision.

A UV isn't really an upgrade from the D1 pro, it's just different, but it's definitely a good tool to have and will expand your abilities. Each has its strengths and weaknesses around the shop. Each wavelength of laser does things just a bit differently and can react differently on different materials. UV's are awesome!

@@LaserEverything It's definitely an upgrade in terms of speed (I am just guessing, my machine is still in the mail) due to galvo setup. Pretty sure I won't be cutting larger wood pieces with Omni 1 lol

Just grab a piece and run a material test grid at low power. Took 3 pieces to get my 50w dialed in for standard. Haven’t tried the colored ones yet.
