So this goes full circle, I started learning how to cook Asian food from this very channel many years back. This led onto cooking for the Gurkhas at work and discovering MoMos, going to Nepal and learning some Nepali staying in a Gurkhas house in Kathmandu. Nepali store online for MoMo masala 👍🇳🇵🇬🇧 we don’t want to upset Asian ancestor now do we Jez 😂😂

@@nygreek743 wonton wrappers are completely wrong for these unless your Jamie Oliver. Just use the frozen round dumpling wrappers.

Momo are also nepali. Tibetian momo are soooo different from nepali newari momo. He's making the nepali version.
@user-qwertyuiopasdfghj Жыл бұрын
@@subashrai2714of course it’s from Chinese. Momo means wheat based buns in northwestern mandarin. Tibetans got the food from contact with Chinese and the immigrants spread it to South Asia

Momo means to steam in Newari. It was the Newars of Nepal that took the dish to Tibet. Buddhism also went from the Newars' Native land of Kathmandu to Tibet which utlimately displacesd the old shamanic animistic religion of Tibet. MOMO is the national dish of Nepal. This false statement of yours would probably get the Nepalis to invade Tibet again. The last time it was about coins, this time it will be about dumplings.

thats not how you make momos. you steam the momos not boil. the sauce is not some bullshit chinese chilli oil and there is no rice vinegar in the dipping sauce. the sauce is savoury and spicy; almost like a curry, but its not curry. can also have thin consistency type sauce. the chilli is added on top of the sauce to spice it even more. but spice itself is not the whole sauce.
