Always good videos, Sam. Moved here Dec. 2019 from Texas and since then, moved twice to different locations w/in Va. bch.. Public schools here are rated high on-line, until you get your kids into those schools you'll know that they are overly rated and are mediocre at best. Va. bch. public school's transportation is poor, fails to inform parents of any delays/incidents/etc. leaving parents with worries/anxiety/run late/etc. and rarely answers the phone as well. Children's hospital like CHKD here is popular and have a long wait list for everything! And if your child/children require special health accomodations, expect to be waitlisted! This also pertains to childcare, expect to be wait listed! Housing is expensive and houses aren't pretty w/ thumb size yards. Duplexes and if you aren't lucky, you'll get neigbors who party all night, smoking weeds, blasting their music until 2-3 am, and not a care in the world. Expect parking lots anywhere smelling like marijuana smokes and some of your work colleagues coming in smelling like it too. Many people here are nicotine junkies too, so expect that. Many stores/businesses doesn't remain open at late hours. Many landlords here in Virginia beach tend not to care about cleaning the place before renting it out, which Remax told us happens alot because of high demand for a place to live in, so they never bother to clean up the places they rent out. Landlords tend to raise the rent every year. We own a couple of Subarus and dealerships here aren't as customer service friendly and doesn't accomodate with courtesy rides or car wash of any kind. Everything here in Virginia Beach is more expensive unless you shop for certain products like fruits/veggies at Aldi's (Aldi's here are tiny) or Lidl stores. Dog poops on the beach, esp. on the Va Bch. boardwalk it's like a huge dog litter. Sandbridge beach so many fish hooks and lines in/on the water/sands. Public transportation is also poor. Some Chinese restaurant doesn't offer cups and ice for your drinks, usually just bottle/can drinks. The gas prices are high, taxes eating out and shopping is high. The roads, omg, they are one of the ugliest we've encountered, which make us miss our Texas roads/highways even more. If you like bars, there's plenty of them around here, but no good dance clubs that offers variety of music. If you enjoy going on an NBA games, well, none here. We do love the beach, but we've loss so much in order to have it. The traffic is bad, expect that. The outdoors here in Va. beach is alright, but nicer up on the peninsula like around Williamsburg where is greener. 4 seasons we also appreciate. Racial tensions here are much higher too, with Blacks at work (other environments) being bullies towards anyone who isn't Black ruining moral in the company and turning it into toxic work environment. Truly sad, which we want nothing to be part of and never did.

Va Bch and all of Hampton Roads is full. Too many moved here and still moving here. Like heavy traffic and crazy drivers who run stop signs and red lights? Like expensive housing that is nowhere near the beach? Like roads that are not built on a grid, thus no roads to get around jams? Like high taxes?

That’s because Ben Davenport, a past Virginia Beach City Council member, said out loud during a city council meeting that he wants to see the city grow to a million residents. The rest of city council shared his sentiment too. This area can’t support or sustain a population that size. It doesn’t matter though. Their goal is to turn this entire area into a “Mega City” and force people out of their cars. The City’s SGA’s admit it in their documents. I’ve seen it with my own two eyes. The widening of I-64 to Richmond is part of that vision.

Don’t forget we have our own Hatfield/McCoys situation. This feud goes way back among 2 of the 5 families that control Virginia Beach and still continues to this very day! There’s also a lot of corruption that takes place within city council!

Uhh what 5 families would this be?

@@aeriagloris4211To understand you and anyone else would have have an grasp of politics ought to run and how it actually runs. There also has to be an understanding of their lineage, who is related to who and how. It’s not worth trying to explain just to be dismissed in the end. What I know is verifiable through public records. Many of the are public figures even if they are only on a local level. People have no idea of how Virginia Beach started out. Again, it’s all public records. One simply needs to know what they are looking for and where. Hint: Ben Davenport (past city council representative) Sister: Leah Davenport married a Malbon….. The rest is for you and anyone else to find the connection. And that’s just one family. There are four other familiars similar to them.
