While the 8R48 is a top tier movement, 1500,- is a lot to spend on an obscure Korean brand. I'd take the Seiko any day, but that's just me.

I firmly believe the watch is more important than the brand. Someone had to take a chance on Seiko when they started out. Why not take a chance on a new Korean brand? Why avoid buying a watch you love over a watch made by another brand just because you and other people recognise the brand?

The Seiko lineup using the 8R are north of 2-3K these days. Not sure what you are on about, but even if you just want that vertical clutch movement, going for the Japanese and Korean micro-brands using them is still cheaper that getting it from a Seiko watch.

Nice watch, quite slim for an automatic chronograph. I own a seiko SRQ023 enamel dial that uses the same calibre. Its just over 2mm thicker.

They lost me at double sided AR coating. The point of using a sapphire crystal is that it won't scratch. If you put a coating on the outside of the crystal, the coating will scratch.

Don’t allow the bougie thinking mindset to dictate your purchase. Be governed by your appreciation for the effort put into the building of this time piece. As long as the company calls itself what it is actually: a Pitzman and not a Rolex I’m content. I look at the movement to see if it’s reliable, and then the aesthetics to see that it’s well aligned. If it appeals to you and is functional, then proceed with that in mind. Some of these high priced watches are well overpriced, and meant to appeal to elitism. Buy what suits your pocket without breaking it, and what appeals to you and your styling. Don’t allow yourself to be caught up in what others classify as legitimate. Just do your research first.

I like this comparison, particularly the price point of the Pitzmann. However, there has been chatter on the forums that customer service is subpar. I have no first hand experience with this brand though.

Microbrands are just awful. Daniel Wellington immediately come to mind. Just get one from a reputable brand like Omega or Rolex.

Just another piece off garbage copy over priced. If you are going to get a fake, replica or homage just go with the Pagani! All the other brands are copies as well. If you get ant of these you always will have to say" No, is not a Daytona"

Make the following refinements and I’ll consider it: remove “Seoul” from the dial; needs on-the-fly tool free micro adjust clasp; female negative endlinks; make it thinner; and lastly, offer a steel bezel. Tired of seeing ceramic. And I never liked the ceramic bezels on the Daytona. If they can’t make it thinner due to movement constraints, no thx.

If you like this you'll probably also like Toyota MR2's with Ferrari body kits...or men in Thailand who look like women. Personally I like the real thing or nothing.
