Very nice and honest video. I went grey about a year ago, but couldn't take the stripe so went with a short pixie. Shock to the husband 😮 but now growing it out to just above the shoulder. Should get there in another 8 months. And I wear a scarf, head bands, braid, clips or just go wild with some hair wax😂 my wardrobe had to change as well. Now I'm trying to figure out the make up/foundation issue as i never/rarely wore it but now i kinda need to, and its very difficult finding a good make up artist.

My sister did that. She skipped a visit to the hairdresser for one month, and then she got a short pixie cut. Took another month and she lost the remaining color. She sports a glorious silver now, but keeps the pixie cut

Thank you, you are so inspiring! I am 60, and my hair is BRIGHT WHITE on top and the front. I love the colour but I don't like that it is all the same, one-dimensional. I am thinking maybe I should have low-lights put into the white/silver, and put in silver highlights through the rest of the (coloured) hair... Has anyone done this, does it work well for making the colour more balanced on the head? Would love to hear from some other ladies!

Thank you for the comment. A week ago I met a hair stylist at an event and he asked me why I don't put some highlights into my hair to "glam" it up a little. I started considering it, but I needed to know whether I'd have to spend a whole day in the hair saloon for that. I hate being there!

My parents are Israeli and I used to have beautiful curly hair. I lost it. I decided to go grey just to get my curls back. I could never do a grey transition strand. It would turn brassy in a week. Hair dye just doesn’t last on my fryer hair. Keratin is also a bad thing. Just going to look dull. Anyway that’s my thoughts.

I believe that different things work for different people. My hair just went fizzy instead of curly. I did the natural keratin treatment, so no unnecessary chemicals were involved. And one thing for sure, I still enjoy the results. Maybe my curls will look different afterwards.

4:07 Yael, you made a cute msitake in Englsh, telling women to go their saloon. That was a bar where cowboys would go to drink and meet women, back in the olden days of Western movies. I know you meant salon. I also figured out your background from the picture of your 60th birthday, wearing a ring of flowers on your head as I know where that is the custom. I went grey at 59 , seven years ago. It does give away my age, but the dyed hair looked worse! I was tired of the double standard placed on women and expected of us to remain attractive, I am still often the only grey headed one in the room, and am usually younger than the others, too! Thanks

Thanks for the comment lovely. My English might be reasonable for someone who does not live in an English-speaking country, but still leaves room for plenty of funny mistakes, especially concerning pronunciation. I'm actually Israeli, and it is our custom to put a wreath of flowers on the heads of birthday kids, especially in kindergarten :)
