Watch the shutters at the back of the dyno room, as HP numbers climb, they such shut. This has got to affect power and the tune.
@COYOTE_N86 ай бұрын
It's for the ventilation fans that he runs while Dyno tuning. It's the little switch he always flips before doing a pull and flips right after the pull. Lol it's not affecting anything
@bobroberts23716 ай бұрын
@@COYOTE_N8 You don't get it. The 2 fans on the wall are exhausting air from the dyno cell. The engine at full speed is pumping air out of the dyno cell. There isn't enough make up air going into the dyno cell so the engine outruns available air. This pulls air backwards through the exhaust fans closing the shutters. The end result is like an engine air inlet restriction. Basic physics.
@Michael-nu1py6 ай бұрын
That’s crazy the amount of horse power in this video
@TJPDmember6 ай бұрын
I always wondered when you're talking about the engine rolling over and you not going past that point. If you want to maximize area under the curve don't you need to go past that point so when you shift it falls down in a spot with more power? We're not making that kind of power but we always rev ours at least 1000rpm past peak so we maximize area under the curve while racing.
@nobuddy13646 ай бұрын
Why do so many setups run the turbos with the turbine/compressor axle parallel to the crankshaft instead of at 90 like on the Lambos and that sandrail SML? Seems the typical drag race setup has many more elbows to plumb everything. I'm sure packaging sometimes makes a difference but some of them it just seems it is for appearance so the compressor wheel is exposed like the ProCharger types. Nothing wrong with that but having the exhaust straightish into the turbine and intake straightish out of the compressor is pretty cool too.
