@Love Sundays Hi Shaun I commend you on a very neat installation. If you put a thin smear of Vaseline on the bare metal areas under the earthing lugs not only will it help reduce the risk of corrosion it will also aid electrical conductivity. That's why it is used on battery posts and connectors. Also watch Greg Virgo his original van conversion many years ago was on a LWB Sprinter. He is now doing a more budget build on a MWB Ducato. His build is running very much in parallel with yours. Do you intend to use any Propane or are you going fully electric. How is your other half and son ?

Always feed a smaller cable through first as a pull through and then pull the larger cable through. Also taper the end of the cable so it doesn’t get too stuck in the conduit. You can buy a spray lubricant to make cable pulling easier.

Fantastic video Shaun Very informative as I have no idea about Van electrics and this has given me an insight to what’s involved. One thing I noticed though…… You have your bed all the way up to work in the garage part of the van. Which is ideal if a problem arises, but…. You said you’re putting up reading lights either side of the square box. Won’t this then hinder moving the bed up if theres a problem in the future? Rather than having to take them off, would it be better to put a slick reading light in the square cut out under the top part so they are all squared away and won’t come into contact with anything?
@LoveSundays Жыл бұрын
Don’t worry I’ve already thought Bout the lifting of the bed. It won’t hit the lights
