Shifu Yan Lei, this is the difference you're making: A Shaolin warm-up to prevent injury ~ THIS is saving my health. 3 months injured and re-injured - just doing Mabu 1 minute. Just doing 4 knee pushups. Just doing plank. Achilles insertional tendinosis (calf, leg) injury. Glutes tendons. T3 disc. Neck/shoulder. Fixing the last two with Posture. Glute-leg-calf-ankle-foot is all one, I now understand. Plateaus that lasted *forever* because of constant reinjury - 3 *years* stuck on dumbbell overhead press 3kg... Finally figured out: what if I'm training wrong? 1. just after sitting working, do Mabu or something for few minutes, no warm-up because my body doesn't like Static (Western style?) warmups at all. Did nothing to prevent my injuries anyway. Also boring. 2. Asked this question: When was I not injured? Even when training Shaolin 45 minutes TOTALLY unfit, also fighting an infection, in a heat wave, at night? ONLY doing your Live Online Classes last year November/December. NEVER got injured. Not once. Not for one second. Yet doing only Mabu 1 minute injured for days and days? Or only a few pushups? 3. During your classes my body loved the dynamic movements. It was like stretching during the hard systems training. Not "before". Not "after". With and during, somehow, it felt like. Didn't know how to recreate that alone. 4. Fixing gut health is also transforming my body now. Strength. Wanting to move. More power. 5. Leg slapping has helped a lot, including foot, all the way up to glutes, all feels like leg Today, I decided to look in your channel, Shifu, for Shaolin warmups. Having just done this one, after 3 months pain walking (Achilles), even pain lying or sitting, comes and goes, never better enough... During this warm-up I was strong. No glute pain. No Achilles pain - whenever it felt a little something I did leg slapping or gave it attention, then carried on fine. This after waking from sleep with low back pain this morning. It is gone now. At the end of this lesson you said, "Now you can do your training, weights or kicks or ___". So I did plank. Longer than the past few months. No strain at all. Then I got the weights - the 5kg ones I've owned since 2020 and been unable to use. Could lift them of course, but would get injured from more reps of 3kg so did not do 5kg. Did two sets of Super Slow (8 up, 10 down) overhead dumbbell (floor) press with 5kg. No back pain. No shoulder pain. It was heavy but good. Stopped after 2 to be safe. There Shifu. You have broken a 3 Year Plateau (2019-2022). More than that, now I know how to get back to my Shaolin without all the injuries. This warm-up is amazing. Feels like LIFE in the body. Thank you, your work makes such a difference. November last year changed my life. May you thrive and have joy in 2022

These are so unique and yet so simple. Never seen most of these before! Few reps but done without POWERING through the stretches so as to prevent injury. Expanding and contracting to pump the blood. Gradually adding in aerobic movements. Just enough to warm up the muscles!
