This is the car I learned rwd drive with. And with which I had my very first drifting accident ;) BTW: there was a 4 doors version, something you could never dream of with the M3. And it was a real blast to drive, for the '90's...

Phenomenal representation, it just could not be better from the point of story telling. Such a shame the 320is are that rare and were not produced in bigger numbers. Short and agile factory ITB 4cyl over long block brothers all day, every day for me. I have 318is sitting in garage and absolutely love driving it and how responsive it feels, but S14 is the top of them all. Great video, indeed.

Looked at these cars in 2012. I think they were being imported and sold under 6 grand. Beautiful car.

E30 is born to be very car. Confidence with E30 always on the road. I used 316i sedan. Best car of my live is E30.❤bimmer ❤❤❤ 3:18

318is was the closest in the states but that S14 sounds sweet better than a stock M42

The 318is was cool as well and had a cracking little engine. You're right though, not much beats the S14 :-)

109 kg in aerodinamic plastic, wow, thats a lot of weight. What plastics were used for the wing and spoilers?

It wasn't just the plastic. The M3 had a wider track and there were wheel arch extensions to make it all fit.

I raced and beat one of those in my 1991 Honda CRX VTEC, nice car though, I love this channel very informative and enjoyable

Of course. It's a cool car though. Always been a fan of targa tops - from the 911 to the NSX. Even the portly 300ZX ;-)

Interesting how someone optioned to not have the M tech 2 bodykit, most likely so it seems less apealing to thiefs. Or perhaps for cheaper repairs in case of smaller scuffs.

It's hard to say exactly why, but we reckon it's for total subtlety and the driver being the only one who knows how special the car really is.

This car did have the M Tech 2 body kit ! I know because the previous owner paid me to remove it and have all the fixing holes welded up , modified the rear panel for a single exit exhaust, fitted 14" wheels with hub caps and a 318i badge ! The reg shown G333SNF belongs to a red E30 M3. not sure why the plates are on this car........

The M5 is faster 0-60, but not by much. It's tough to compare them though, as the E28 has a bigger, tourquier engine and carries a lot more mass as a four-door saloon. The E30 is comparatively lightweight and more agile in the corners.

It’s a shame these are selling for £50k upwards now. Picked up my e30 325i m tech 1 for £16k. It’s not a 320is but it’s a blast nonetheless.
