The Underground World of Discontinued OSRS Items!

I have a small collection of discontinued noted trouble brewing items. The discontinued items from trouble brewing are actually items from within the mini game its self not the rewards shop. For example noted bowl of blue water or noted bowl of red water are now discontinued. This is because a few years back you could smuggle these items out of the trouble brewing mini game and store them in your bank. Jagex made a change about two years back that prevented you from banking these items so now the only noted trouble brewing items come from the few of us that still have these items in our banks. They are 100% tradable and a pretty cool collection item for anybody looking to buy discontinued items.

The staff was probably smuggled by a person being in gauntlet when a server crashes. When a server crashes, the gauntlet items stay in your inventory even when you log back in (but were kicked from the gauntlet itself). This is a current known bug that Jagex really needs to fix because it also overwrites your entire inventory outside of gauntlet with the gauntlet items (so some people lost a lot of items and gold).

Another one is Sticky Red Goop, tradable item from Peer's house in Fremennik Trials. Some people have them banked in CoX (becuase its not actually bankable), and also impossible to obtain at the moment without a working LIFT. Great video!

The Crystal Staff has the max hit of a Sang Staff which is 47 in max gear off slayer task. It has a whopping 184 magic accuracy versus the 25 of the Sang. The Perfected Crystal Staff alone has more magic bonus than someone wearing: Full Ancestral Occult Necklace Tormented Bracelet Arcane Spirit Shield Imbued God Cape Eternal Boots Seers Ring (i) Sanguinesti Staff A character in Max Mage with Sang only has a magic attack bonus of 167, 17 less than the Crystal Staff alone.

The crystal staff will delete on Area Queue, the only way to keep it is to never click on anything and suicide with it so it ends up in death office. You will actually never get to use it out of the gauntlet

@@Le0xo he prolly used plugin to change model from another powered staff to the gauntlet one. The only way you can keep it is either to have a force tele queued from the hunleff room, queue enough damage so after the force tele ends you instant die, that way its kept in death office. The other way is to have a server crash, this way the AQ command is not ran when you get kicked out the gauntlet so you keep it. But the moment you red click anything it instantly disappears because the command is ran again on you. Its plausible that he just had a bandos task, changed his slayer helmet with a plugin to look like an ances hat and a normal trident to look like a gauntlet staff

I lost my half jugs of wine on my rs2 acc (2006 around) cause of course it was hacked and botted on lol. So sad. Grats on the scythe and bunny ears though man! The OG scythe is my favorite item (so happy i have it on my osrs acc now :P). If Im not mistaken those are items that were given out in rs classic right? I think they did drops in rs2 also but im not certain.

you should look into the two separate bird nests, i don’t recall what happened exactly (like them changing the ID number or something) but now there are discontinued bird nests (i have a few)

Whenever they added new seeds they made new IDs for the birds nests with seeds, its happened a few times actually. The nest boxes with seeds from Wyson the gardener are affected too I believe

Raw Fishlike thing was most commonly smuggled with a LIFT. It is still possible to obtain, though a bit harder. Pumpkin Pie was smuggle with the interfaced interact/player queue skip bug, which is patched now. Other bugs were also required for the method. Dawnbringer was mostly accidental, but fairly easy to do on purpose. Completely useless. No idea on gauntlet staff. I assume they've fixed it since it was used in that clip.

The gauntlet staff was obtained by a crashing server / hitting the server offline. It would kick you out of the minigame but it would override a fair bit of items within your inventory so make sure to not have valuables. This can still be done to this day.

While not a discontinued item my main account has white graceful but has not the finished house favor or the Architectural Alliance quest completed. How did this happen? Oneday I noticed that my Piscarilius favour had dropped to 0% and the quest had been removed from my completed quest. I don't know how or why but I still have the white graceful and also have access to buying it again. I think that's pretty neat.

@@supportmytroups7 you could smuggle shit out of dungeoneering, that stemmed into a shit load of bug abuse which also led to people stealing the blue phat from the cutscene at the draynor bank, but it's item ID is different to a regular blue phat, so it would disappear if people tried to wear it and was untradeable if i recall correctly, they started being able to force themselves into other peoples instances, a guy broke his main into his fight caves and got a fire cape on his level 3 by almost fully killing jad with his main and poisoning jad on his level 3 for the final hit XD

There is one more you haven't mentioned. A very recent one actually. When Jagex patched Pharaoh's Sceptre, they changed it so every old sceptre in everyone's bank needs to be 'converted' in order to function. So technically, if you have an unused account with a sceptre, high chances are that you own a discontinued unconverted Pharaoh's Sceptre.

On RS3, Jagex discontinues incredible amounts of items, but one functional to this day, the golden cracker given out for Jagex winning some sort of award I can't remember; is still in my inventory to this day, along with other items like the RS3 Evolution of Combat beta invite and some world event items from both Sara vs Zammy and Armadyl vs Bandos.

Well said. Id be down if they did a few holiday or anniversary events with tradeable uniques as a reward, but there would need to be many, and if those uniques are worth for example 5-25 mil then thats fair. Ultimately I would like to see the implementation of super rare items in game that are tradeable (from RS events).

@@yoshark2540 Imp Box is a really old item so the mods covered a ton of contingencies with it. For example even smuggling an imp box into Peer the Seer's house in Fremennik Trials will just give you a message from the Imp about how he doesn't wanna get in the way of the quest. And that's something that wasn't even possible until gravestones came into the game

With cheat engine and custom clients like Runelite being able to easily change item cosmetics and names to other items, I take most if not all of these with a massive grain of salt. Pretty much anyone could fake all these except the Crystal Staff. Any really even that could be a private server if they wanted to deceive people enough.

5:28 I'm guessing that it was the cheat engine exploit, you would be able to change what floor level you are on, ground being like level 1, and then in the air being level 2, what you would do is change it to level 2 walk over the water and then switch it back to level 1, and then just walk to the bank and deposit it, please note this is hypothetical, I just remembered doing something like this a while back ago, it may have been a long time ago but I cannot remember

This is just a recording bug that can happen when you don't use proper settings according to your GPU. Happens a lot for rookies when trying to record on OBS. It can happen while streaming on Discord as well. Freezes your mouse cursor in the recording but you still get all the UI pop-up form hovering over objects,items,NPCs, etc.

The best exploit to get a "rare untradeable" still has to be the full inventory karamja rum smuggle, it's not patched to this day and you can stack up and bank as many as you please for that nice reddit clout
