When eggs are cooked at very high temperatures, the cholesterol in them may become oxidized and produce compounds known as oxysterols . This is a concern for some people, as oxidized cholesterol and oxysterols in the blood have been linked to an increased risk of heart disease. However, eating eggs hasn't been linked with an increased risk of heart disease in healthy people. (Healthline)
In this video I will review the healthiest and least healthiest ways to cook/prepare your eggs.
One egg has only 75 calories but 7 grams of high-quality protein, 5 grams of fat, and 1.6 grams of saturated fat, along with iron, vitamins, minerals, and carotenoids. The egg is a powerhouse of disease-fighting nutrients like lutein and zeaxanthin.

Unfortunately this is often too true, whatever they say, the opposite is true 🤯 Well over 100,000 people die every year from taking prescribed "medications" as directed by a doctor, more than the so-called opioid epidemic, yet nobody talks about it... But we better cut out the eggs and meat and don't DARE use cannabis, because those three things kill SO many people... Oh wait, what's this? They've never killed anyone and are actually good for you? 🤫

I grew up on a dairy farm. We always had chickens and I remember my dad bringing them in the house inside his shirt. He loved eggs, as we all did, but I never remember my dad ever eating cereal for breakfast--just eggs. He was disgusted when the "news" came out about eggs and cholesterol that announced people should stop eating them, which he completely discounted. My mom made fluffy scrambled eggs for dinner often as we were poor, but neither my brother nor I were ever able to duplicate them, as she never even taught me how to cook. My dad's favorite was soft-boiled eggs on toast, and he used to make them for him and me and would cut mine into 6 pieces, his into 4. To this day it's still my favorite way to eat eggs, and I am very happy to find out that they are among the best nutrient-wise. Thanks, Dr. Mandell.

Some people say to add water, and others say to add milk. Try both and whisk completely until the mixture is homogeneous. Cook on low heat while stirring constantly until you start to see small clumps forming, and then you can turn up the heat and continue scrambling. My favorite method is to mix apx. six eggs with 1/4 cup of sour cream and then bake it in the oven - they’ve always come out incredibly fluffy that way.

I began Keto over 4 months ago. Usually eat anywhere between 3 and 10 eggs per day. Soft scrambled for breakfast, loaded with grass-fed butter, sea salt and pepper. That, or boiled. It’s a far cry from the fear-mongering I remember in the 90’s that people should eat less than two eggs per day otherwise they’d be at risk of a heart attack. Insane what lies we were/still are exposed to.

@@ritagamez3732 you don't have to first beat them, just prepare them with butter and very low heat and keep mixing and taking the pan of the heat every now and then. It's unnecessary to prebeat them. This doctor is spot on. I eat up to 8 eggs per day, and have been for most of my life. I eat 4 boiled eggs in the morning with bacon and mushrooms, cooked in olive oil. And I have 4 eggs in an omellette in the evening. I also eat, beef, usually in the form of a steak or chicken with the skin on or fish, generally salmon sardines or cod. These mainly with salad or vegetables. I keep to a fairly low carb diet, with very little rice, potatoes pasta and bread, and no cereals I will be 71 this year. my Cholesterol levels and Triglycerides and blood pressure etc are perfect. I get down the gym 4 times a week to work out. I have a 10-12% body fat percentage .... I regard eggs as my super food. Forget all they say about eggs and cholesterol being bad for you. Your body makes the equivalent of about 15 eggs of Cholesterol every day. But if you eat Cholesterol it will make less to balance out.

@iahelcathartesaura3887
@iahelcathartesaura3887 3 ай бұрын
@@LightLanguageHealings I think boiling temp is not high heat, since frying temps are normally at least 100° hotter than boiling? And it matters how long you boil them? So a soft or medium boiled egg is good (4-6 mins of boiling?) I go through phases with how I like my eggs lol. Usually everything else I like doesn't change much. So for the last few years I've enjoyed four and five minute eggs boiled in the shell, or soft scrambled. If I get in a hurry I'll fry them for speed and I got to cut that out! Great question though!

I eat two hard-boiled eggs daily. Recipe: I submerge them in a saucepan filled with purified water on a stove, bring them to a boil and stir them, then remove the saucepan from the heat, and let stand for 10 minutes. After that, take the eggs out of the saucepan and place them in a container, e.g., a large measuring cup, and fill the container with cold water and a couple of ice cubes. Place the container in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes and then crack the eggs and peel the shells. Delicious!!!!! Excellent video, Dr. Mandell, thanks a lot.

When I saw the title of this video I started to get excited and motivated to see and hear what was ahead. It started off in the same generalistic pattern of the history and physicalogistic characteristics of a collegiate symposium wondering if the good Doctor was going to list the names of the chickens that he personally raised before entering med school. Hard boiled, soft boiled, scrambled, smothered, covered, packed, sacked, spackled, poached, fried, hyperspace, raw, and everything including how many days to wait to prepare them before cooking and eating the two eggs. It was, a toss up between, to me, getting nowhere on a slow shop to China or Boston. It almost didn't matter at that point and was about to leave the video. Then low and behold Dr. Mandell then hit the target, "Microwave" was the key word I was long awaiting for and what Power settings to schedule the eggs to cook by and how long. So I was once again visited by my old nemesis "DISAPPOINTMENT". The DISAPPOINTMENT came in the fashion to that of NOT TALKING ABOUT THE DURATION OF TIME TO MICROWAVE ONE or TWO EGGS AND POWER OF COOKING EGGS. I would have been willing to donate one of my kidneys to one in need or a diabetic if seeing or hearing of how much power and time to microwave two eggs. I use Coconut oil, or Extra Virgin Olive oil instead of bad fatty oils such as Vegetable oil, Canola oil, Palm oil, Sunflower oil, Safflower oil, Soybean oil, which have bad trans fat that's aids in heart disease. If you made it this far you can sense what I meant when I expected the needed information that would open the doors to a better health related to microwaving eggs but got more of nothing than before I started. The saying is true: You get a lot of Nothing for Nothing. Right. Thanks Dr. Allan Mandell.

A Dr. in Mexico still repeating the nonsense that eggs cause high cholesterol? I'm shocked! Half of America still repeats the same lies they've been told over the years. Remember when "scientists" once told us that sugar wasn't bad for us? Why did my grandparents and great aunts/uncles eat bacon, fried chicken, and a few eggs a day and live to be 100, but my more more immediate family and some friends die of various diseases in their 60s? It's not necessarily the food or how you cook it (old timers cooked eggs hot and fast in cast iron). I think the factual science we have is that you're probably going to be ok if you stay from processed foods, toxins, etc.

@@Swearengen1980 my grandmother and my mother died of high blood pressure, but I do believe because they started cooking with vegetables shortening, before that, high blood pressure wasn't common and they used to cook with lard, but the poverty, the big companies introducing that petroleum, it was affordable even then, my mother and grandmother lived to old age with the deceased and there is not much information in central American countries about natural treatments.
