In 2004, Stevie Wonder played a wonderful concert at the Molde Jazz Festival in Norway. I happened to play at the same festival, and in the evening my wife and I stood in the hotel lobby waiting for the elevator. The elevator came down, and when the doors opened, Mr Wonder was in there with an assistant. My wife and I were so starstruck that we didn’t manage to get in…I was barely able to mutter a «thank you for all the great music», to which he smiled and nodded back to me before the elevator went back up. A brief, totally unforgettable moment 💜
