It's crazy how older games like SWAT that was on PC around 1995 had this idea and concept. Also games like Command and Conquer used real actors and scenes. You had real life animations and graphics being utilized. Obviously at the time it was nothing like this and more like still frame/recorded shots from real life, but it was basically this just almost 30 years ago. But then gaming kind of went away from the real life concept for graphics, and now it's just coming full circle again.

His first tech demo over a year ago got major traction for this artistic style, and got the attention of a mark, a French rapper with money to burn. This rapper is funding this "project" and it's hard to say how far this project will go before shutting down and disappearing into obscurity. It's far more real as a project than The Day Before (straight up russian investor scam), but it's just as sketchy in regard to being a real project. It's little more than a quixel asset map, generic UE store avatars and AI, animations, filters, and in-engine camera settings. It's a project anyone can replicate themselves in a few hours, plenty of UE5 devs on youtube are showing people how to recreate this tech demo, showing that there is nothing impressive about this project and the dev behind it is a liar and possibly a thief.

A metro game with this type of gameplay would be amazing, imagine a horde of nosalis running at you from this perspective

It’s scary how the 2022 demo looks like PT graphics but the trailer looks uncannily like reality. 30 years ago people were losing their mind on OG doom

This is exactly what we need. Something ground breaking, graphically… this looks amazing. This is what next gen should look like.

@koon aguero UE5 is extremely optimized, it will have no problems running.

More like clever effects, hopefully more developers try to use this method to make their games look a little bit more real, maybe a SWAT zombie game 👍

The older version looks like those found footage vhs horror games, now it looks like actual bodycam, it’s still hard for me to believe this is real

The intentionally grainy quality, censored faces and lack of permanent on-screen UI massively boost the illusion of reality while aligning with the narrative. Clever choices by Drama’s team.

After seeing this game...every other shooter looks obsolete. This is the future of FPS genre and true evolution. Thank you for your work. Bravo🎉❤

A different take :/ But if the gameplay ain't there as aiming looks like a VR game, & they have Blurred faces as the tech ain't there to. Il wait it out

It's a concept... Let's just appreciate this is rendered in real-time.

It's part of the bodycam concept. You're viewing the bodycam perspective of an officer. Some state's laws and departmental policies do require suspects or poi to be anonymized if the footage can cause a privacy violation for them or related persons. Or by further extension, it is not in the public's interest to make known the individuals on the footage. Gimbal/free/deadzone aiming isn't anything unique, you put a box in the center of your screen that you can aim freely within, without forcing the camera to move with you. The older treyarch CoDs have it, tripwire interactive has it and ArmA does it too. Of course it's super weird to align the irons against the camera as if it's your eye and then muffle your mouth to use the radio.

Hey, Weegee, the current World Record Holder for the Super Mario 64 120 Star speedrun, should be allowed to play Paranormal Tales as it would make his day to be invited to play at launch and during the Beta or even a prerelease version of Paranormal Tales... If you can, please let him so we can watch his playthrough of it 😣❤
