According to the novel, the reason why everyone gathered in that specific place at hunting ground was due to the lan zhans sword. Lan zhans sword has that light blue rays or something according to the novel and qhen it strikes you can see it on sky or something like that. Just saying.

Despite being immensely talented, wei wuxian was still a teenager at this point , like 16-17 . The power he has is a lot for the temperament of a teenager to handle.

As always, you guys are adorable, but some things to clarify that got missed in the fun... 😉 At 8:20 = When Weiying asks for Lan Zhan's headband (in public no less) it's slightly salacious because, according to Lan Clan customs, only a wife/husband or close relatives are allowed to touch their sacred headbands. This is Weiying openly flirting with him in public. That's why Jiang Cheng gives his famous eye-roll at the whole situation. Then, at 13:38 = this was a very moving and significant scene in Baifeng forest for our couple. It's here where in the books and audio drama versions it's their first kiss scene! 😽 Weiying says that he feels Lan Zhan is his 知己 (zhījǐ) which actually translates to one's soulmate or most intimate person. So your impression was right... it's a love confession scene. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑This is the moment in the novel when Lan Zhan can't restrain himself and passionately kisses Weiying while up against the tree. 💋 That said, this is the point in the drama where the Jin clan starts making my blood boil! I need a shot of vodka after this too. 😆

I'm impressed by both your analysis. Kevin's is what one would think when watching the past ( the flashback) and thinking Wei Wuxian's attitude may be the main problem. But David's is what one would think after the flashback ends and the real story begins. After everything starts making sense and the misunderstandings about Wei Wuxian become clear. One thing I wanna say now, is that Wei Wuxian NEVER becomes evil. The agony starts from next episode, I can already feel the pain in my heart 😭😭

Let's keep in mind Wei Wuxian was supposed to be 16 y.o here so it's kinda normal he falls for the others' trick and lose his temper. He was still a child in that sense. Besides, it's really hard to control that kind of magic, being that said he was never evil.

I love the Kiss scene in the book 😊 When Lan Zhan Shaw wwx in the Woods blindfolded he couldnˋt control himself. He just kissed Wwx very pessioned without Wwx knowing woh is steeling his First Kiss. After that Wwx was somewhat confused and sees how Lan zhan smacks a tree in half. In the end of the novel Wwx finds out that Lan zhan was so angry because he couldnˋt control himself. But more so because he thought that Wwx Bad a lot of experience in this kins of things so he was just extreamly jealous😂

Realistically for the hunt you jsut have to gwt the most kills to wnd up as the winner. With or without or the sword/flute, Wei Ying still would have a lot of kills because hes has oroven tike and time again that he is just thay good

Wei wuxian gets his power from the resentment of too many dead people, and he barely controls that power, he's fighting all the time with resentment in him. The resentment could take over his body anytime if he loses his control.

The part where Wei Ying asks for Lan Zhan's headband would make a little more sense if his headband was thicker. And it is thicker in different versions of the story. Wei Ying was asking for it to use it as a blindfold. But he was also flirting.

The Untamed is still my 2nd most favourite Chinese Drama and I have watched quite a few. I miss your 2PM reactions, but that might be because I miss 2PM my favourite band.
