Trespasser was a video game that came out in 1998 as a sequel to The Lost World. Unused John Hammond audio goes over an untold story of Steven Spielberg's super or alpha Raptor on Site B. In this video we go over the Velociraptor and talk about how it relates to the film canon with stuff like the Indoraptor in Fallen Kingdom! Hope you all enjoy! :D

That’s why we have to update him like this. He began to attack the channels when the videos came. But the channels are Jurassic based right? To be honest I really would’ve liked this, it gave a much more stronger story and background for the animal, much more than the Indominus rex and the Indo raptor, it’s not exactly portraying it as a monster rather an animal which had strange genetic mutations and intelligence and therefore tried to make sense of it surrounding and choose its own path. What made the velociraptors scary in Jurassic Park wasn’t just the ability to kill all look vicious, it was their very frightening intelligence to figure out ways around barricades and dangers, the perfect example would be by the testing of fences for weakness, always trying to get free. Their intelligence to open doors and set traps for vengeance rather than actually hunting. This alpha raptor according to the script was curious about her surroundings, knew who her enemies were and who to watch out for, and how to escape her confines and to hunt humans and dinosaurs for her survival, That’s what made it so scary, a creature that could hunt and outsmart humanity as well as dinosaurs and leave us at the mercy of the wilderness. Somehow this creature, although we created it is still able to hold an ability and power over us to make us as vulnerable to nature as anything else, despite our technology. This is much like The clever girl/big one, with an rivalry and vendetta to Muldoon in Jurassic Park.

yeah many of those bits of dialog were recorded, just never used. there were a small handful regarding hammond and muldoon for instance that were never recorded. According to an interview with a trespasser dev on trescom, they only had enough time for a single two hour recording session with Attonbourgh, so there were a small handful of lines that didn't get recorded but were on the script. The voice acting script can be found in the docs folder of the now publicly available Trespasser source code. (along with a lot of other things, including the 1997 developer walkthrough)

Good video. I have already seen all of this in the main and official fandoms and wikia articles of the franchise that are very well supplied with information and precision. Even if you don't learn anything new suddenly, it is still well done. On the other hand, really, I want to say it, but, the JP Trespasser game is 100 percent canon with the cinematographic saga (the six films) as well as "Jurassic Park: The Game" of 2011; The 2019-2020 "Jurassic World" live show and the latest "Jurassic World Aftermath" game came out recently (you should actually make videos about it). Anyway, if not, it's a good video.

The raptors from the films appear to be Achillobator Giganticus, which inhabited the same areas as Velociraptor Mongoliensis, so it makes sense why InGen thought they had bred V.Raptors. That said, the larger raptor species are strictly American, so this super raptor/alpha raptor would have to have been from amber obtained from the U.S. instead of Mongolia.

I think the Super Raptor is a pretty cool idea. It definitely seems like some aspects of it were used at some point. I could see it as inspiration for the Indoraptor. Raptors are my favorite dinosaurs. I didn't even know Trespasser existed until I saw your playthrough. The Super Raptor would make things pretty interesting.

I think at this point, I don't necessarily want to see another super raptor after Indominus and Indo. There are tons of other predators to use. But going back in time, I think it could be cool. Or, something else I would love, is a prequel based in the 80's around the original creation of the dinos and the park. Having the scientist see a dinosaur for the very first time ever and so on. That would be cool.

Where the AI is intelligent, and you have to be careful in how you move through the jungle. Taking measures to hide your scent, or not make trails back to your camp. Hey Klayton, I've been watching some of your older videos (specifically the ones on the Spinosaurus from JP3) and it got me wondering about something. Great Story of the Alpha Raptor that has never been revealed or recognize in Jurassic Park History especially with Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. I really love the new look of this Raptor in the Jurassic Series and I think it would be really cool if the Alpha Raptor teams up with the Big One in Jurassic Park and trying to destroy the characters, it would be really interesting and quite dark. In all fairness, these dinosaurs are pretty much "alien" like due to the fact they aren't 100% original. Despite that, I still see them as the real thing. If anything, I would love more games that follow up the aftermath of the original jurassic park and Site B. Just to explore and read the documents left behind by the researchers to see what kind of things they made and how they did it. Like the "super" or "alpha" raptor, learn about it's origin and profile about how it became as it is with all standing out dinosaurs.

I'd be fine with it, personally. We know from the books that the dinosaurs went through many iterations, some taking YEARS before flaws were found. I recall Wu talking to Hammond about the versions of dinosaur in the park during the first book, specifically.

Personally, I think the raptors as a story telling device or theme device are extremely valuable because in Jurassic Park's universe their intelligence is supposed to be at about the same level as a human .. but countered by the fact that they are driven by dominance, brutality, survival and even a sense of vengeance. So, displaying raptors in scenes paired with contrasting human characters is a great way to develop the sinister identity and intelligence of the raptors while also developing the human characters by extension. The World films really failed this delicate and subtle horror dynamic by making the raptors seem more relatable to humans, like they are akin to domestic dogs, when they should have continued highlighting their alien and monstrous personalities. The careful and suspense driven approach to the raptors in JP1 is one of the biggest factors that made the film so terrifying and ultimately so successful.

Alright, I would have LOVED to see this in trespasser, would have been great, sadly I doubt it would ever come to light, maybe if they made a trespasser sequel? But that would be difficult because the animals on Sorna were either killed or delivered to Nublar, so maybe a remake?

@@hanburgundy4317 I would also just love a sequel to JP3, not sure I want it to decanonize Jurassic World though, remember, kids are growing up on Jurassic World, sure I may prefer the original saga, the majority of JW fans have probably never seen the JP franchise, and that’s okay honestly, it’s JW’s job to keep the legacy going. But I would definitely love a sequel right after JP3 but before JW (That is actually canon)

@@coltentucker8851 Okay, you definitely have a point lol I may not care for Fallen Kingdom, but Jurassic World is a solid C+ and like you said people love these films - so, to be fair, I change my initial statement to suggest creating alternate timelines: the Jurassic Park timeline and the Jurassic World timeline. JW has bothered me ever since they introduced Masrani and said that his backstory involved Hammond wanting to rebuild Jurassic Park - something that The Lost World showed us Hammond would never do; not to mention, Masrani wasn't on the board of InGen at the time. Furthermore, Hammond had succeeded in getting Isla Sorna and Isla Nublar designated as protected areas - as confirmed in JP/// - so the idea of InGen coming back in and doing exactly what Hammond had worked so hard to stop Ludlow from doing in TLW makes NO sense, to me. I can enjoy Jurassic World for what it is, so long as I look at it through the lens of "self-deprecating cynical reboot" and just enjoy it as the popcorn movie it set out to be, but I just can't get into Fallen Kingdom - it's... I don't wanna be a jerk, here, but it's pretentious and corny and so damn convoluted, and it just creates more plot holes and literally destroys the island that came before. I don't really care to see dinosaurs loose in the U.S. - it was a novelty back in 97, but that scene hasn't aged well and doesn't really need to be redone, IMO. I've always been more interested in what The Lost World, JP///, the video games, and the toy lines have given us: dilapidated _Jurassic Park_ buildings and vehicles in the forest or jungle with armed gunmen and scientists working to survive a bunch of dinosaurs. IDK, maybe I'm the weird one lol It's just that other than the original park shown in Jurassic Park - I'd love movies set before, during, or after the events of the movie Jurassic Park - the world as depicted in the next two movies was just far more interesting to me than the new, shiny, rebooted world they gave us in Jurassic World. Hopefully, Dominion will be good; fingers crossed!

@@hanburgundy4317 Alright, I definitely agree with you here, when I think if Jurassic park, I think of a abandoned iNGen facility and a jungle and some good ol’ dinosaurs. If you listen to Hammond’s last line in the first film he said “Next time, it’ll be perfect” so perhaps he got in contact with Masrani (Or however you spell his name xd) since in JW it’s stated they are family friends, and talked to him for plans on a future theme park on Nublar, of course by the time the lost world rolled around Hammond changed his mind, but forgot to tell Masrani, so when Hammond passed, he gave iNGen to Masrani and I guess Masrani did what Hammond told him he wanted to do I guess, I know there’s a lot of flaws here, but the best way I could think of it honestly. As for Nublar being destroyed, it really wasn’t, a volcano can’t do that much to a big island, so maybe half of 1/4 of Nublar was destroyed, they’d probably just plop the dinos back on Nublar after it cools down.
