The internet is a small, strange world. It must be surreal to hear yourself pop up in unexpected places!

Awesome video, I didn't even realize some of those really common sound effects I've been hearing were yours!

I didn't know that THE punch sound effect from thousands of low-effort "kid-friendly" videos was made by you 😮 You potentially could've become Kevin Macleod of sound effects

Always wondered where those Cry of Fear screams came from... But wow. Your VA skills are genuinely amazing. So glad I stumbled upon this video. :)

I like to imagine that political cartoon of the guy and girl in the grass with the ground below them being held up by a bunch of WW1 soldiers, but they are labeled as "dudes who make public domain sound effects" and the top is "modern society"

Oh Jesus i forgot to check this out when i found out you did the VA for the scream, genuinely one of the most horrifying screams I've heard 10/10 VA

This should have the title, ''How to be famous without being Famous''. I'm astonished how great and inspiring those sounds are. It just shows and proves that in sound design when good idea strikes, regardless of the equipment at hand, one must capture the essence of it right away and right at that spot. I think your samplist talents are undeniably unique! Great video and super fun to watch! Keep on (F)inspiring Maxy!🤍

I notice that the scream playing in the background before the jumpscare scream is also yours. "Please no..NOOO!"

No way dude. The fact that i heard that scream so many years ago and i somehow stumbled on your channel over a year ago because of your eternal sleep remix shows how small this world is.

This is literally insane to see, I never really gave it too much thought on where the sound effects came from, let alone having it come from ONE person. Your work seems under appreciated(?) in my opinion. Thank you for making all those unique nosies way back when, especially since they were free. You paved the way for many artists and creators. Still can’t wrap my head around it, it was SICK learning about the origins behind it all. Have a good day man :) ❤

I also found another sound from freesound that was used in Cry of Fear and also the Suicide Mouse creepypasta, and the Mr Incredible becomes uncanny memes. It's the "walking-shadow" sound effect where it is the voice of tortured crying. It's funny being able to find these sound effects to their source. I always thought that the jumpscare scream in CoF was just Andreas screaming into the mic, but nope. It was actually a sample.

Max lore, so cool. Dude, I heard that one scream in Saiko no Sutoka SO many times when I was trying to get all the endings in that game, and never did I guess it was you, even after knowing you all these years lol. Hearing it in this video and my brain replaying it from the game was like when a big twist happens in a movie and they do a bunch of flashbacks. So bizarre lol. Really awesome history and great to see your stuff has been used and appreciated by so many.

One of my favorite games, your scream is such an iconic part. I boot up the game sometimes just for my friends who haven’t played it before and aren’t expecting it 😂

Congrats, man!! So cool. Although I don't like horror I like your samples. 😜 One can hear the kind of reverb (plate) in one of them quite clearly! I can't believe you made that famous punch sound 🤯 it's used all over the place!! Nice video too!!🎉

I swear it feels like you and your sound design and discoveries have been with me my whole life. I recognized the scream from scp containment breach, and the mechanical sound was also part of the infamous femur breaker in scp containment breach.

I saw your “anime_sword_hit.wav” sound in Wayne Lytle’s freesounds downloads. I swear it was used in Sound of 12. Also, you being in an SCP game is pretty cool.

Of everything shown off in this video, your punch sound effects I think were the most influential. How many times must I have watched a comedy video on KZbin that used one?
