I knew the O'Jays we're internationally known, but I thought LeVert was kind of a regional star. I was vacationing in The Bahamas shortly after Gerald passed. When I walked to the dive shack at the end of this long dock the dive masters had the radio on and they were playing Gerald's music. It gave me a kick. I hope Eddie is proud.

Thanks for the info.👍. I was just living my life in the 90s. Gerald was the Bomb. I wasn't attracted to him like that. But I wasn't Blind or stupid. I loved the songs, loved it when he and his father did that Album. I loved the LS G collaboration. My baby sister loved Keith sweat.😁. I heard about kim, she made sure the world knew.😁. I believe Gerald said in one interview that he was looking for a woman like his mother. Relationships can be rough, espically if you are on the road, involved in a lot of projects. Gerald worked too hard. It was Sad how he passed. Somethings you just can't rush. I understand he just wanted to feel better. He should of asked a Dr. Or pharmacist. You don't mix meds. Yes it was a accident. People forget, the Heart is a muscle.certain drugs won't cure a cold, the flu or pneumonia. He just had too much going on. That plus his weight. Fact he was alone. I do Apperciate all the songs, how he wrote songs and helped other singers. Yeah he died too soon. But at least he got Recogonition while he was here. Maybe he was more loved in the states. I can't say what would of happened if he had lived.i do think both him and shawn made his father proud. Sad both died in the same manner. Gerald give me Prince Vibes. Was he underrated because he died when he did. Because he put out some good songs. I believe people are still playing his albums. He was the greatest male soul singer of his generation. He was workaholic genius he co-wrote and produced many legends before him such as Teddy Pendergrass, Anita Baker, Millie Jackson, The Temptations, James Ingram, The O’Jays, Freddie Jackson, Keith Washington, Miki Howard, Barry White, Patti Labelle and many others.. He produced a lot of his homeboys and girls of Cleveland such as Men at Large, Rude boys, Drama, 1 of the girls.
