Located in a gated community lies this abandoned time capsule mansion. With heavy decay, most of the home is empty, once you pass through the garage, you are greeted with an untouched time capsule!
Everything from, clothes, electronics, furniture, family photos, and even a car have been left behind! while Unknown why the home was abandoned, it sits as a window into the lives of those who once lived here.

I'm thinking the mold is the very reason they left. The family may have been told their very possessions were contaminated and that's why they were left behind. Great job, great explore thank you once again.

Looks like they left everything in good order but something got inbetween all of their lives abruptly... Maybe they were victims of the 2011 tsunami... as you stated the dates of the picture around that time! Sad in a way to see this. That girls room was really if she could return almost. Computer and all (should be some data on still) Strange that in your country there is no one searching for an answer and let these houses go to waste i presume? I know, its not your job... That car must be registred etc? Thanks for sharing and all be carefull with mold!

Dennis F I agree! Could of been visiting their home country and something happened or they could of been living there illegally and got sent back to their country not being able to take any personal items with them back to their native country

One can die by inhaling mold spores (very dangerous). The mold could be why they left; but, since we don't know when they left, it doesn't explain why the computers and pictures and the auto were also abandoned.

This is really puzzling me as to why they just up and left! I am sure like some have said maybe it was due to a mold issue but leaving behind pictures and the car even is strange! Idk...

Where did the family go? In cases of black mould, you are supposed to leave it all behind so the insurance will pay. Otherwise, you will transfer black mould to your next residence. There was a famous case in Texas where toxic black mould almost killed a man and left him with mental deficits. (Farmer's Ins. wouldn't let them fix a water leak) and it spread throughout their mansion causing illness. Look it up.

It's sad how they left photos and other items behind but maybe the mold had gotten to those things also. The mold growth was in strange random areas.... So weird. I saw some of my other favorite explorers there which was an added bonus. I was surprised to see the cheap cabinets in the kitchen

I loved the yellow house below the mansion. That much care for a lovely place like that was probably built for a daughter and the grandchildren. That's my guess.

That place looks completely ate up with black. That may be why they had to leave. I heard about a place like this on the news and everything had to be left behind because that black mold infects anything and everything that is porous. They lost everything they owned and ended up having to burn the house with everything in it. Could you imagine, having to destroy all your belongings smh their house was a brand new house but, the builders used some bad sheet rock that was infected. By the time the Dr's figured out why the family was getting so sick, one of the kids almost died.

About ten years ago I was moving and after we left the old house situations prevented us from moving into our new home, we were forced to squat in a vacant condo and we stored our cars in another vacant condo. That could be why the car is there. In the state i live in if someone had purchased the condo we were storing in we would have lost as it was considered part of the property. I damn near lost my 1969 Camaro.

This home has a lot of mold but is NOT old! What is going on up there with the builders?? Seriously something is so wrong with letting these not very old mansions even being built in the first place. And letting them get beyond hope for redemption.

Asian families often share their homes with multiple generations of their family which could explain the size of this house. They probably left the country never to return for unknown reasons but they had a lot of money! The art was really cool. If that ' jade bar' is genuine that is not cheep!

This home was more likely abandoned do to mold issues. They more likely salvaged what personal belongings they had without mold on it and was coverd through insurance for the rest. Just my opinion. I dont think this family had died. With that much mold in that short period of time is very possible why it abandoned.

Oh and I think there was a REALLY large bird stuck in the main house. He couldn’t get the doors open to let it out, they were locked and he couldn’t open. He left some window or doors or something open but apparently there was a terrible smell when another guy he knew went to explore it.

I wonder if the house was beginning to show mold infestation and the occupants were forced to abandon it without risking taking anything with them. What a terrible loss to these people, having to up and leave and not be able to take anything with them for fear of contaminating a future home.

kittykat 78 I agree but if it too has black mold in it everything has to be left behind or destroyed. 🙁 we had black mold form in an old house we bought to remodel and in some areas of the house was black mold newly forming and we were told by the people that tested it for us that it spreads very quick and once on personal belongings even if wiped off it could still form back due to mold spores still being on the items and you can pack it back into where you now live. It’s a very scary situation and that type of mold can even be deadly.

Once black mold strikes, you have no choice but to leave and start over the scratch. You can't take anything with you but the clothes on your back and even those have to be thrown away asap. It's very unfortunate.

This wouldn’t surprise me if it was a health issue, ppl getting sick and upon inspection black mold was found in the walls and ceiling’s. Black mold is such an invasive thing and you cannot get rid of it cheaply or completely and save the house. Im guessing this is an insurance writeoff and biohazard with everything left behind including car in the garage. The amount of mold present and decay, tells me that house was rotting before being abandoned.

I venture to guess at least the family residing in the part with the possession left behind left to visit family back home. Perhaps they had to stay there &/or couldn't return to Canada due to some immigration or employment issue. Looked to be a multiple family dwelling with several generations living there. Almost like some sort of duplex. Thought the glass breezeways were weird. The layout was rather confusing to be a single family home.
