The James Webb telescope had like 30 different nations throw in on it and it was launched out of Guyana by the European space agency. See that comment right there is exactly why the rest of the world hates us. You’re forgetting our allies in space and in defense. The French did a hell of a job sending the James Webb to Space. The launch was so efficient they extended the Service life from 10 to 15 years longer than it originally was designed for. Of course the United States threw in the most money and designing it, but we did have help and when you forget to mention that like our president did when the first pictures were revealed to the world it just makes us all look like assholes.

If the "7th gen" is like what is listed here, Kinetic impact weapons are not out of the question either, because from that high up combining inertia and re-entry with something heavy it can deal massive damage and potentially shatter aircraft runways or destroy heavily fortified bunkers using less or no explosive substances than modern day "bunker busters"
@bobbythomas65202 жыл бұрын
Realistically nothings out of the equation. Like you said impact weapons but realistically the US can do whatever. We know they’ve been testing lasted for like 30+ years, I mean combining hypersonic with no radar cross section. That idea is probably not viable for the simple reason of fuel, it's hard to cram enough fuel into something to be efficient enough that also needs to be small and have stealth characteristics such as being flat and nimble. I am one of the despairingly poor --literally to the point of tears, for as I type this am I hungry. Due to physical disabilities, I cannot work, and I must subsist upon a grotesquely inadequate fixed income. Yet I know we and our allies and trading partners face geopo- litical threats that seek to im- pose their will upon their neigh- bours. Europe already sees this. Those who had thought to re- main neutral--already have Swe- den and Finland applied to NATO) OTAN for membership! --now realise with thunderous emphasis that they cannot ex- pect Emperor Shirtless of the Second Russian Empire to keep his word, and in continuing his "Lebensraum" deception concei- vably might seek to usurp them as a twenty-first century version of the Sudetenland. Ask the Ro- manians about land grabs. Ask the Chechens about their nor- therly enemy's brutal invasion campaigns under the grotesque lie accusing them of terrorism! Taiwan faces chillingly similar prospects from their northern adversary of the same ancestry, deriving from a post Second World War contest between Gen- eralissimo Chiang Kai-Shek, Chi- na's ruling figure during and im- mediately following the war, and the Communist dictator Mao Zedong. Generalissimo Chiang relocat- ed to an island some called For- mosa, renaming it Taiwan, and establishing there his seat of government. The murderously authoritarian regime of the Communists arbi- trarily claimed the newly inde- pendent nation as a province of their unlawful domain. One must ask what legitimacy had their legally invalid dictatorship to rule in the first place? Taiwan is a democracy with a flourishing economy. Their mic- roprocessor industry is the most advanced in the world! Do we dare to leave them to invasion from a brutish, murderous re- gime that never once won a free, democratic election? A despotic government that in its treatment of the Hong Kong Chinese has shown their true nature? Can we honourably leave them to an un- known fate? How are we to secure our inter- national markets and aid our all- ies and trading partners in the global economy if we allow our ever-narrowing technological edge to slip? Our two rivals most assuredly are applying all their will to these very goals! From what the world has seen of both, what can we expect of them over the foreseeable future? These existentially critical ne- cessities do not exist in a va- cuum, of course. We abso- lutely must save ourselves from our environmental emergencies. This scorching spectre imperils us all, even more pressingly than the prospect of war. (Even China realises that destroying Taiwan thoroughly eviscerates their scheme to co-opt their wealthy neighbour's industries, plunder them for their wealth, and exploit their workforce.) We equally must resolve the ut- terly gratuitous scourge of econ- omic deprivation. This I know firsthand! I now am even hungri- er than when I had begun my essay!

I do not have any specific infor- mation, of course (I never could see well enough to drive; what sort of military career could I have had?), though I can make logical inferences. The U.S. De- fence Department evidently do not anticipate its readiness in the time frame to serve as a sixth generation combat aircraft. New surface materials, AI, neural net- work computing, adaptive tech- nologies, stealth advances, laser weaponry, hypersonic durability, etc., are fields requiring much more extensive development. Another possibility is subter- fuge to keep off balance any ea- gle-beak adversaries. They have to anticipate what they next can face, forcing them to spend from an already overextended budget tens of billions USD--risking soci- etal objection from suffering, leading to mass protest.

@ab74832 жыл бұрын
That wouldn't work unless all the governments agreed to let someone else's military into their airspace at all times. And it ignores the fact that when one side advances in technology the other side creates counter measures such as their own swarm. Nukes are also emps so potentially only takes a few nukes set to go off right in front of the swarm to shut down a decent chunk of electronics in a zone. Drone's don't do well in those cases and radiation is actually worse when detonated up high because the radiation drifts further. You can also just stick a nuke in the car and ignore the air. And of course it actually encourages countries to launch more nukes because obviously one wont work so they send more in the hopes at least some get through. There was a similar project with satellites that could shoot nukes down and there is a world where it may temporarily work. Long term "the nuke problem" does require all governments to come to an agreement to a) remove their own existing arsenal and b) make it impossible to make more. Send all uranium to the moon for example. Neither one of these things will occur until the world faces an outside threat that forces governments to unite. Military advancements alone will not resolve the nuke poblem due to the competition between countries.
