Can we acknowledge the fact that Stefan sacrificed his life, his love and his sanity all to save Damon’s life? I feel like the emotional weight of what he’s doing isn’t discussed enough. We already know that Stefan feels guilt more powerfully than any vampire we’ve met thus far, so imagine the mental toll all of this is taking on him. And he did it all for his brother.

@@sharmisthachakraborty287 yeah I think guys tend to like the more “bad boy” nature of Damon than the wholesomeness of Stefan. tbh Damon was my favourite as well when I first watched the show, but the more I rewatch, I’ve grown to love Stefan more as a character and Damon just grows more annoying to me 😂 especially the more questionable stuff like the Andie and Caroline sex slave-ish stuff. But yeah, that phone call was one of the sweetest moments of the season and one of the best “purely love” moments in the show.

@@hali_55 I honestly don't care if they ship delena but this particular stelena scene deserved appreciation instead of mockery...some moments are really heartfelt and they didn't even pay attention to it and totally disregarded it because they ship delena...if you throw away one side of the love triangle and treat them like trash then it honestly doesn't feel good I adore Damon..i just don't like delena

@@sharmisthachakraborty287 I chip Stefan with almost everyone but Stebekah is my favorite. They know Rebekah alredy then I can say it that STEFAN REBEKAH CAROLINE AND ELIJAH ARE MY TOP FAVORITE. I also love Damon and I like Elena but I don't like Delena because HAS 0 SENCE to me. I even enjoy both Stefan and Damon with Katherine. I also love Damon and Rose chip.....that is at this point

Great intro scene. Ripper Stefan is great, allows for such intresting shifts in character dynamics. Stefan planning Andy's death so he can stop Damon from being able to save her is so cruel, great way to show how different he is. Klaus is such a fun and intresting villan. Tyler's mum shooting Caroline is a brilliant ending scene.

I felt bad for Andie, she didn’t deserve that. This episode is sad for Elena bc she has to find out that all those reports were Stefan’s victims not Klaus as well as it being her bday but her not being in the mood to celebrate. Then Alaric leaving made it that much sadder bc for some reason it was that instance that made me think about how alone Elena and Jeremy are. I did not expect that to happen to Caroline at the end 😣

Alaric leaving was so sad because he didn’t realize how valuable his presence was. I know how he feels-when you underestimate how much others care about you and assume if you aren’t useful, no one would want you around. He didn’t want that responsibility and thought it was better for them. But from their perspective, he’s abandoning them in a way. I do wonder what Elena thought Stefan was doing with / for Klaus. I can’t think of anything NON nefarious Klaus would want. In fact, one criticism I have of this season is that the characters rarely discuss what Stefan is doing, how Stefan is feeling about that, how THEY feel about that, apart from a vague sense of loss, guilt, and frustration. In fact, I genuinely don’t know how much any of them know about what happened based on later comments.

You guys are hilarious. Still can't get over your comment about Damon's hair getting aggressive. I swear Damon keeps better track of that necklace than Stefan does. Many people don't understand how significant it is that he gives her the exact symbol of the love between her and Stefan. Caroline being shot at again, give the girl a break! That scene with Andy always shocks me, no matter how many times I see it. I get it though, Stefan had to make his point.

Yea this episode really showed us that there is an entirely different side to Stefan and all this time he has been fighting this side of him and we can finally see how alike Stefan and Damon r and then I kinda shows us how different they are at the same time it’s so confusing 😂

The fact that he got a box for it and when Elena is sad and says she won’t lose it before the cake he says “It’s your party, you can cry if you want to” then him walking down with her holding his arm, they make me so 🥺 I think Andie was just compelled to think that she’s falling in love and to not share what he tells her, she can still say no that’s why she didn’t get Damon the drink. It’s funny because Damon does care about the vintage lol, Damon’s whole thing to not spill blood on the carpets 💀 (maybe it’s more in the future) Andy was only compelled to be in love with him and to not be scared. Also Damon’s choice not to tell her about Stefan’s victims is more so for her not to give up or see the bad side (you’re right Damon is slightly warming up as it seems to having more humanity)

I think Alaric probably stayed bc Elena and Jeremy are just kids who don’t really have an adult figure there anymore. Poor Andy ☹️ I don’t get why Stefan killed her the way he did. If he really felt that killing Andy was the only way to get Damon to stop trying to get him back then he could’ve killed her in a quick way in front of Damon but instead he played into her fear and compelled her to jump off. It was cruel. He did it so Damon would lose hope and stop tracking him but then he calls Elena which will give her hope in saving him and she’s obviously going to tell Damon so the search for him will continue. A little counterproductive but it’s clear he’s breaking down. “He can lift Alaric with one hand” lmao Jeremy’s actor did change a lot this season

I don't think Stefan even Expected Elena to recognize it was him... he didn't say a word and probably just wanted to hear her voice, but Elena was sure it was Stefan without even hearing his voice, the moment is really beautiful and one of the best Stelena moments imo, the drop in the ocean song always makes me think of them

They just wanted to get rid of Andie and show that Stefan is not messing around at the same time, but they didn't actually want to deal with consequences. Though in canon, I choose to see it as just another version of Stefan ripping someone's head off and then feeling bad about it afterwards, so he first kills her horribly and then calls to relieve some of his guilt.
