What’s so strange to me is that while Damon’s time in the stone served purpose to make him take a look at his actions and find forgiveness towards his mother, all that Stefan got was that he ‘has to let Damon go’. I feel like there was so much they could’ve used for Stefan but yet that was the thing he had to accept? Stefans experience in the stone was basically Damon being a burden and to me that makes no sense, especially when Damon wanted nothing to do with him when he first turned. I liked their brother moment at the end though, minus the part where Stefan started naming a bunch of negatives about Damon despite the fact that he too has been all those things and was reckless like two episodes ago 🙃

@@janedeluxxe Spoiler I know he gets stabbed again, but we don’t see a ‘lesson’ to be learned that time or what he goes through inside the stone. The next time he gets stabbed it’s more about the brothers bonding and Stefan struggling bc he’s in Marty’s body. What we see is him inside of someone else’s body and the problems that happen with that. In this episode, I’m talking about the thing they supposedly learned bc of the stone. I just think it could’ve been done better in this episode where both of them were supposed to have taken something away from their experience bc there were many things that have happened that could’ve been used as ‘something he needed to learn or reflect on’ instead of it being about letting Damon go. I agree that Stefan definitely has a harder time with what happens next time he gets stabbed but hopefully you get what I’m trying to say.

The conversations don’t always go perfectly, but by the end of the season they sort of understand what their flaws are and accept them.

@@Web497 Lol he didn’t steal Elena. He always respected Stefan’s relationship with her. He’s admitted that he didn’t deserve her but she chose him anyway of her own accord. He wanted her to love him the way he is and she does. If you think that he ruins Stefan’s life then Stefan could just give up on him. Damon never asked him to constantly save him but he does, again and again of his own accord because he loves him. Damon hates himself. That’s why he thinks he never deserves anything. He’s also never pretended to be someone he’s not. I adore Stefan and Damon both as characters and I don’t have an issue calling Damon or any other character out when they do something wrong, but I also try to look at both sides and understand where each character is coming from. I do hate though when people blame Damon for literally everything that happens no matter what it is even if it’s not his fault.

I hate when Damon doesn't defend himself and let him say anything, when his already lacking and weak self-esteem crumbles, I hate that every time his brother tells him heavy things about who he is, his flaws as well as others he he convinces himself that this is how the bad guy is. He is a rebel in general but he never rebels when he is offended he lets himself be told about everything just like Elena. I would have liked him to shout at his brother ... you're wrong Stefan I'm not like that you stop making me believe that I'm always the bad guy ... but no he considers himself that way what others say about him.

Stefan has a moral obligation to get Damon back on track since Stefan the villain has taken over Damon's mind and made him his hitman for almost their vampire existence, Stefan owes Damon his life, his humanity, his soul and his spirituality and this is why Stefan is desperate more to save Damon but the problem is not this because on the one hand he saves him but on the other he criticizes him, offends him, treats him badly as if were the scum reproaches him everything, makes him feel a weight a burden, does not let him go, does not go away, people are loved for what they are, he must love his brother for what he is and not for what he wanted to be. Taking your brother to redemption and trying to change your brother at all costs because you don't like him are two completely different things. Damon many times told him to get away from him never asked him to save him and stay behind him so you can hear his criticism and that it is a burden to him, every time that Stefan saved Damon he made him feel the weight of this. Here is Damon's words to Stefan "Look, what happened to Enzo will haunt you and her for the rest of your life. But the you who are with me right now, the you who are marrying Caroline Forbes tomorrow, the you I've known for nearly 200 years, you haven't. Wicked, bad, the ripper did it and you don't if he. Do you hear me? " Here I remind you these words this is Stefan the good is the bad, that's why Stefan the evil has destroyed Damon's life and it's the least he can do for his brother at least that good Stefan. .. if she was still with Stefan would you have thought these things about her? I don't think ... Elena is the best thing that the Salvatore brothers could have happened to him. Indeed, Caroline and Vallerie were the ones who indirectly provoked discussions between the brothers The fact that Damon loves Elena as an equal as his brother and never gives up on her as he does not give up on his brother does not make him a bad brother in life you not only have brothers but wives, girlfriends and so on that become a family too them, Damon if Stefan is in danger and has no other choices save Stefan if he has to save Elena and he has no choices save her, if he has other options and plans try to save both and all if you can he must choose between the two at that point has other sc elte saves both of them and sacrifices himself and it's a very normal and beautiful thing, Stefan instead sacrifices his women and I'm in second place is this is bad towards a woman. I close by saying that Stefan has an obsessed love towards his brother and this suffocates both of them but he is understandable because he feels guilty for who Damon is and for his life. What do you want me to tell you that Stefan is an angel yes he is but Stefan is also the devil, like it or not and that devil destroyed Damon who in the final discovers the devil in his head and manages to find himself and be the master of the his mind, life and finally being himself.

Stefan was ready to kill Damon if it meant he wouldn't be haunted by Damon hurting Caroline, so Caroline really saved Damon's life

It was true, however, the fact for Stefan to save his life because if he killed him he knew he would lose Stefan because just like Elena, Caroline knows that Stefan puts his brother first that they as women, Stefan once the hallucinations pass would be destroyed for the her death so Stefan wouldn't freak out but Damon's Caroline doesn't give a damn but yes just as Damon saved her life despite the evil done in season 1, Caroline saved Damon's life now.
