Honestly I'm happy to have transmogs seperate from armour equipped. Then I can prioritise stats and aesthetic separately :) Replaying DAI now and the crafting is kinda tedious.

Yeah, it's overwhelming sometimes haha. I think transmog is a cool thing anyway. I'll miss my potions 😭

I loved the weapon and armor crafting of Inquisition, but it was definitely tideous at times. If they can streamline it so i'm not spending a lot of time hunting material but still keep options available on how you and your squad look, thet would be fantastic.

It would be perfect! 🔥 Time efficiency matters as much as the value of crafted items

Crafting system can benefit from streamlining, it was all over the place in DAI. Collecting herbs and rocks was tedious af as well as running around between five different work stations to craft four different pieces from several ingredients each. Going through building equipment for entire team always felt like a chore. I think, if they terminate foraging for resources (like make it available with merchants or delivered by Varric's contacts or smth), put all crafting\modifying\enchanting into one work station and spread blueprints in a loot around the world, it would be cool.

Hear, hear! I hope we will have something like this because having over-simplified crafting is also no fun. Fingers crossed they managed to optimise all the good things!

100% agreed. The worst for me in DAI was the mining for the randomized magic ores.

I loved how deep the customisation went for DAI. I don’t think it was bad at all, I can say that the tinting mechanic also made sure that all the armour felt unique.

I loved the crafting in DAI, especially the golden nug to transfer plans to a new character. I was op as soon as i got to winterhold. That said, im ok without it. Im glad there is transmog. I love playing a mage, but i hate playing a man in a dress.

I normally love crafting stuff but Inquisition made it boring. I’m hoping it’ll be fun here! But I do hope they let us name the stuff, I did enjoy that part.

Im intrigued by what i hear about "gear skills" if teue that will make two big issues fixed ir means we have more open skill usage to the point we might have access to class exclusive skills through gear,and its a active use not on a persent usage!

Love transmog for roleplaying, oh and I get you Potions > green pots, I feel we will miss them ahah ^^'. Thank you for getting all those new infos so fast, its must be pretty overwhelming at this stage I imagine ahah. Also, in all honesty, I love a super super complex and flexible crafting system that feels impactfull, hope there's still some dept to it in DAtv !

It might be overwhelming but thankfully most news is reported by other KZbinrs haha. So I can peacefully talk about other things 😜 We will definitely have some form of crafting. It will be great if it's still fun and useful for a character. I have friends who never use any schematics or recipes which obviously helps them complete games faster

I love green pot(s). i didn't like the scarcity of certain weapons, armor upgrade materials. Or that time I it took days to find one wisp essence for my knight enchanter. Your accent is interesting.

Pots are awesome. That DAI crafting nuance was frustrating indeed. Fun fact. My accent changes depending on how tired I am. I'm accent-fluid 😂

About crafting: Someone named "@Hrungry" on twitter tweeted information about this. There will be crafting, without a doubt.

Couldn't find a post or an article via search. Could you provide a quote, please? We will have some sort of crafting. It's not a surprise. The question is about reducing its functionality.

I’m really over crafting system. Esp how difficult it was to accumulate crafting & how slow it was. I just want my chars to be able to look nice. Any bonus stats I don’t want attached to appearance going forward.

It is heartbreaking having a great piece of equipment that doesn't serve your character, but could fit very well your companion, but for some odd reason nobody else can use it. Unique equip define unique characters' builds. DA II didn't have it that much and I understood why. What will be this game's explanation?
@ImpGoose3 ай бұрын
Well, we see a lot of merging in DAV mechanics and gameplay. They said that they experimented to get to the point that everyone could enjoy the game no matter the level of your skills and experience in DA games. It's thoughtful, kudos to them for that. Though I completely understand your emotions. I like crafting and swapping armour between characters. It saves time!
@daanvanderloon50323 ай бұрын
I would have liked them to continue progressing with the crafting and improving/streamlining the system. I always felt it was much more logical that a specific armor would perfectly fit a character when it was specifically crafted for them, and not just picked off a random bandit corpse. Especially in Inquisition with how any one armor would look very different depending on what party member you equipped it to.
@ImpGoose3 ай бұрын
Fingers crossed we'll get interesting craft mechanics without too many simplifications on the way. I'm looking forward to something useful for a character while a fashionable look is a pleasing bonus
@JustMike_Official3 ай бұрын
The crafting system as a whole needs scaling down. It was massively overblown in DAI, to the point of absurdity and most players not using >50% of schematics anyway. But, the alchemy was perfectly fine in DAI, and I'm afraid DAVE will be yet another step away from more RPG mechanics. It sure seems like Bioware wants to make the game more accessible at the cost of dumbing down the mechanics of the game, which, to me, is a bad call that's bound to result in lower ratings.

well idk how im gonna be OP or cheat now. but I hated farming mats my first playthrough on the x box, I just didn't love the open world I'm happy it will be mission based if they don't try to jam politics down my throught.

The devs said we will be able to craft and equip our companions with different armor
@ImpGoose3 ай бұрын
True, it is needed though? I think about potential usability. Firstly, we have exclusive armour (I suppose it's the whole look) for each companion, thus we can't switch them (screenshot is in the video), so technically there are less options for all companions. How many pieces will there be, after all? Secondly, belts became "armour" and not accessories. Does it mean we can craft belts? Only Rook has a belt option as far as I understood. Once again crafting armour looks like a redundant feature to me. The last thing is transmog. Once you find a beautiful set, you'll stop crafting using in-game armour during your first playthrough simply because you don't have all the schematics. So...the question is, "Is it worth using once it's shrunk to this level?"
@elissahe23773 ай бұрын
@@ImpGoose I'm not entirely sure how it will look, but I would love to see how they made it look this time around. I was never a fan of looting around for an okay belt so I'd love a crafting system for belts. I also didn't like crafting a weapon or armor without knowing how it would look and from what I've heard, we'll be able to choose how it looks (hopefully)
