Good review, just one correction - none of the bits are Pozidriv. All three are Phillips (0, 1 and 2). For some reason Victorinox describes the two smaller ones on their website as “Bit Phillips 0/1 (Pozidriv)”, possibly because you can use a Phillips bit with a Pozidriv screw in a pinch. I own the Cyber Tool M, which to me is the best of the variants. I do not need the saw and file, which would just make the knife unnecessarily big and heavy. And I do not want electronics on my knives either; I would worry about cleaning them with water, and I always carry a better flashlight with me anyway. I would like the magnifying glass, but in the end the camera on my phone does an even better job.

Great feedback Morpheus - and thanks for the correction, I was going by the description in the provided leaflet. Also good point re phone camera as magnifier. I am sure other readers will find this useful.

Daily living: Can openers are not for the field anymore. They are for people like me who will eat fruit and veggies from the can when on the road (cheap) . Few people carry canned foods to the field anymore with all the other container options. Toothpick is also necessary for eating away from home (the apple skin stuck between teeth ha). The scissors is the only tool I use on my fingernails since a file is not needed after unlike when I used clippers. The tweezers works better than any other tweezers on tiny slivers. The magnifying lens for seeing the micro slivers and reading fine print. So I beg to differ on any of those tools being for field use but rather for those of us that spend our day away from home without a travel bag with toiletries and such. I enjoy your reviews and hope that when you say something is not needed on a particular model that it is regarding you and your life or situation. Afterall, for most of us MacGyver types, the multi took is for multi situations :)

Wonderful review! I have been binging quite a few of your videos today and subscribed. I edc a Cyber Tool M with custom scales that have a ruler and an extra slot which allows for the addition of a firefly ferro rod without having to remove the tooth pick. I find the Cyber Tool M offers a versatile tool-set while remaining significantly more pocket friendly than the Cybertool L or Cybertool Lite. While I also own a Cyber Tool Lite, it mostly stays in the drawer because I edc an Olight baton and my cell phone has a built in magnifier.

Hi Jonathan, I always enjoy your reviews. I was a computer tech, back in the day and I have owned, used and abused my original blue scaled CyberTool (now known as CyberTool M) for the past 20 years. I personally don't need the magnifying glass and light, but would like the saw, file and chisel that also come on the CyberTool L, however, I don't like the placement of the tools on the L. The bit driver is way off centre on that model. You say that for a tech tool, you don't need the saw and file, or can opener for that matter. What I would like though, is a tool that covers tech, urban and outdoor, all in one SAK. I have purchased a Ranger, which I plan to remove the saw and file layers from, thus downgrading it into a climber, which I'll probably never use. I will then add these layers to my Cyber M, turning into an L special, with the bit driver centred. I already have the required 2.2mm and 2.5mm brass rods to make the new pivots. To me, this will be the ultimate SAK. It will miss the fish de-scaler and 3D Phillips of the Champ and the aforementioned mag-glass and torch of both Champ and Cyber L, but none of those are losses to me, compared to having bit driver, file, saw and chisel. Each to their own.

Great review Jon! Fantastic job on reviewing the whole line of Cybertools. Now I got the following tools in my EDC: Knipex Cobra XS (that one is preps irreplaceable) BIG idea design Bit Bar Tec Accessories pocket Pry TwoSun Ti Pen Vix Compact One thing I'd do to a Cybertool L is switch translucent scales to titanium ones and add a Ti pocket clip from TecAccessories and be jolly and happy ever after. As a knifenut I have a question - can you get a T6 bit as well from Victorinox to add/substitute to the setup? Thanks again. Great job!

Great review as always. I’ll admit to being somewhat of a collector as I have all of the Cybertool models. My preference is the large which used to be the Cybertool 41. I actually prefer over the Swisschamp because many of my other knives and gear use torx screws and it’s great to be able to tighten and loosen them in the field. By the way, the Cybertool L/41 has the backside tools like the Swisschamp so there is that plus as well. Love your videos and can’t wait for the next one.

Hi Jon, I was away so, I have to catch up with your vids. Cibertool is also a niche tool, but there is Victorinox for everyone and that's great. About the can opener, it is redundant on this model, but it has this classic look. And actually I still use it to this day. I have sent my Rebar for second replacement, because the small screw driver broke. It is a very well made and useful tool set. The only problem I encounter is that the light frequently turns on by accidental contact between the switch (which is actually quite exposed) and another service when you are carrying the knife day to day. I often found therefore that when I went to use the torch the batteries were flat. There is a simple solution to this problem. Reverse one of the battery cells. They are easily accessible and it does not take long to reverse back again when you want to use the torch.

just got the cybertool m, I am planning to split it into 3 tools: pliers, screwdriver, awl and the blade section (replacing the large blade for a file, small blade is enough for my needs). the can opener etc section with the corkscrew (easy enough to move) and scissors with the hook. I will print some scales for it but I think that will be the best combo I can have, will probably end up ignoring the can opener section but having scissors and pliers operable by different hands is useful imo. Looking forward to replacing a few tools I carry with it.

I recently got a SwissChamp, and I think my favorite “new to me” tool on the knife is the pliers… I find them very useful. …but the SwissChamp is too heavy for EDC, so I’m looking for a smaller knife that includes the plier… so as far as I know, my options are only the Deluxe Tinker and CyberTool. the Tinker is missing the corkscrew, though, and the CyberTool might again me too big, so I can’t decide 🤷🏻♂️ and I wish they’d change out the smaller knife blade for the new small file on the new Companion, and maybe give me an option for just the phillips head/LED light lager, rather than the multi-bit driver system, and that might just be my perfect 91mm SAK 🤔

Bravo Jon, great review, short succinct, and to the point. Question, depending on one's carry method, is there a chance of the light somehow being accidentally turned on when carried in a sheath, be it a Victorinox or aftermarket? my main complaint with this model is the screwdriver bits fall out too easily, and they are impossible to see, once they hit the ground they literally disappear. i wish they were painted a more visible colour and locked into the screwdriver better

You can’t get a refill for that pen because the whole pen is like a refill with a plastic end. I bought a spare pen but have not yet used up the first one since I only use it occasionally.
