So few people realize or remember that Prowl's G1 Tech Specs gave him a Rank of 9 and the role of Strategist, which made him Prime's second in command. Jazz was only an R8 Special Ops Agent. But I guess the famous Scatman Crothers kinda stole the limelight a bit, so his character Jazz got more attention and briefly survived the movie.

It's funny that people always remember Michael for doing Prowl on Transformers, because I think Bombshell, Scrapper and especially Swoop ("Desertion of the Dinobots") and First Aid ("The Ultimate Weapon") had far more lines than Prowl ever did? Anyway, Michael did a great job on all of them 🤩

Michael Bell is number one on my favourite voice actor list. There's a quality to the tone of his characters that's always resonated with me. Additionally, Prowl is my favourite Transformer, and I was DEVASTATED by his graphic death and in TF:TM. I couldn't watch that scene again until I was an adult. (At least he never died in HEADMASTERS!) Thank you, Michael, for Sideswipe, Scrapper, Bombshell, Swoop, and Brainstorm, as well as Duke, Xamot, Major Bludd, and Scrap-Iron!

Prowl, sure. But this man will always be the one and only Duke. I’m so grateful to have grown up at a time when the leaders children were presented with were Duke and Optimus Prime. And those characters need voices. Peter Cullen and Michael Bell!

Michael Bell, a very talented, long-time classic voice actor with an awesome voice. Great video highlighting some of his best roles in Transformers. Favorites are Duke in GI Joe original series, Smurfs' Johan, Transformers, Raziel from Soul Reaver, Hanna Barbera, etc. I remember he was even in an episode of Three's Company as a dance instructor for Janet.

In 99, my favorite game that year was Soul Reaver. I was floored when read that Raziel's VA, Michael Bell, was Duke and some other characters on G. I. Joe, some of the Transformers, and Smurfs. Cartoons I watched in the 80's! A lot of VA's are like that for me because, in 82 I was 5. So, I never recognized their voices until I went back to the older cartoons. He will be remembered.

While he was never my favorite Autobot I do have a certain respect for Prowl and really do wish they'd use him in a live action film at some point. I know back in 06/07 he was considered for the film and wound up being taken over by Barricade but honestly he should be part of a squad of Bots at some point soon.

I was thinking Sideswipe got more character time than Prowl. Other than the scenes they showed of Prowl in Roll for it, Prowl didn't do much in G1. Which is too bad, because Prowl and Hound were my 2 favorites followed closely by Wheeljack and Grimlock.
