His voice is fucking brilliant, the tone gives it an almost operatic sound, his range is huge and his unique delivery is a breath of fresh air in an industry of people desperately trying to sound the same.

6:59 to 7:01 his vocal tone literally changes from a word to another From the nasally whiney "is" to the beautiful "over" I really don't understand why he decides not to ditch the whiney tone

He said somewhere that it hurts him to do aggressive voices like back then
@ben1ben3 жыл бұрын
@@rody8376 source? just saying something without any proof is annoying. From everything I have searched and seen he has never said that. Anyways I'm the opinion that Serj needs to get Vocal Lessons and train to stop the nasal singing. And for the aggressive voice he just has to learn the correct technique.
@itzaltraz3 жыл бұрын
@@ben1benIn a zoom qna, he said that his vocals evolved, and that "trying to do the same thing that you've done in the past is artistically redundant". You can watch the whole thing here kzbin.info/www/bejne/apzQeHaihJyYjNE
@ben1ben3 жыл бұрын
@@itzaltraz saw that already, he is just using an excuse for not being able to do it anymore. I think he just doesn't want to straight up say that he struggles with doing his old vocals. His Voice literally evolved backwards, have you heard his demos from even before soad? he sounded so beautiful and manly. Still he has to get Vocal lessons to get rid of his nasality.
@filipepinto47523 жыл бұрын
Best vocals period from Him, we’re between 1998 and 2010 around that….afterwards 2013 It’s when the nasal started in some periods so I guess might be related to some issue he got with time and went there to compensate the effort on it you can clearly see on shows that he just cannot go back there and he is pacing as much as possible

Wtf happened to him? I mean 2003 and 2005 look like two completely different people Long hair and that beard, and the hippie pot smoking energy... Almost looks like philosophy student lol definitely looks much younger ironically even though he was older His 2002 self looked (and sounded) like an angry metalhead. I get the change in his voice but he changed his entire style and idk why
