@@justme4998 Nah, the smile doesn't mean that. You're right that he doesn't care, but if Maggie comes at him he won't fight back. Either he gets to live in the community and make the rest of his life mean something, or he is killed by Maggie and gets to be with Lucille again. *Both are wins for Negan*

The Negan origin story deserves a all mini season. This 6 bonus episodes should be his origin and his evolution. Because only one episode is not enough, I really hope there gonna make an another. Watching Negan meet Dwight, Simon, Morales or others guys. Arrive to the sanctuary, become the leader, built his harem and submit Alexandria, hilltop and the kingdom. Watching Negan change, become more violent, more scary, more dangerous. This episode is just maybe the best walking dead episode the last Rick episode. The others bonus episodes (except the part with Robert Patrick and the part with Darryl and Lydia) were crap, specialy the episode 21 with Carol and her soup. I remember when Negan confess to Gabriel he was an unfaithful husband. It's good to see him with his wife before he apocalypse and the first months after. I just regret we don't see the part when all begin (like the first season of Fear the Walking Dead). Lucille played by Hilary Burton who is the Jeffrey Dean Morgan wife is the best choice they could did. The both actors playing is awsome. And the makeup for making Negan 12 years younger is very good. At the end of the episode, just before Negan burn the bat i almost cried. The scene in the bar very look like the last scene of the season 6, (his first apparence) moreover ther is the same music as Eeny Meeny Miny Moe scene. It's wonderful. That is the walking dead i like, that is the Walking Dead i want. Damn it. For the after i think Negan and Maggie need a real and long private conversation. Maybe Negan could get his redemption with Maggie if he saves Hershel Junior or her.

Idk if that smile at the end means he has a sincere deathwish, or just is ready to accept whatever Maggie intends to throw at him, whether it's harsh words and glances or simple bullets, probably bullets lol

That smile was moreso for himself, I think. There are two outcomes: 1.) Negan gets to live in the community and make the most out of the remainder of his life 2.) Maggie kills him and he gets to be with Lucille again Both are acceptable outcomes. Literally if Maggie kills him, she'll be doing something he views as a win, in a way. Therefore, she isn't going to do shit.
