5:00 "He's like the fucking devil" Fun fact that's exactly who George Lucas based Palpatine on. You can't get much more evil than evil incarnate. In the books Sidious' master Darth Plagueis, who was an alien btw, was convinced Palpatine could NOT be human he was so evil. Another fun fact. A good portion of the council, including Obi-Wan, Yoda, and I think even Mace, were aware of Anakin's relationship with Padme (not the marriage or the pregnancy just the feelings), and they chose to ignore it because he was too important to lose. Obi-Wan kept quiet because he did it out of genuine love for Anakin and Padme, because he wanted what was best for Anakin. They broke their own rules for him, and that caused them to keep their distance from him. They basically gave him privileges, but also treated him as if he was incapable of becoming a full Jedi.

I dunno it's heavily tainted by the bad plot threads introduced by Attack of the Clones, including the Droid/Clone Armies, Count Dooku being a villain, Separatist being Pawns of a Grand Conspiracy which is still stupid to this very day honestly. So many Plot threads that kind of ruin Revenge of the Sith in my opinion introduced by Attack of the Clones. Imagine, just imagine for a second if Dooku wasn't a Sith, and genuinely discovered who the the Chancellor was and actively tried to stop it, failed which lead to the Civil War started as the Republic split. Imagine telling Obi Wan to join him he was being truthful and Obi Wan rejected it thinking Dooku was a Sith only to accidently himself siding with the real sith. Imagine Jedi arrogance literally leading to their own destruction. Imagine a Republic including officers/soldiers (Not clones) that willingly turned on the Jedi, wanted the Empire to form, believed it was the right thing. George missed so many GOOD plot threads that would have made Star Wars light years better. Since he made bad plot threads, everything after was forever tainted. I think George Lucas didn't want to have 'good' people do bad things willingly. Which I find utterly insulting. Honestly my disappointment with Attack of the Clones followed by Revenge of the Sith is ironically why I find The Phantom Menace my favorite of the Prequel films, none of the bad plot threads were introduced yet, and the film stands up on it's own two legs. Reason I say ironically is because I know many consider it the worst of the prequel films. My issue with the latter films, because they introduced Clones and Droids (Mind you prior to Attack of the Clones very few people took the Clone Wars as literally a war with Clones). It wasn't really a war in a classical sense. Hard to call something a war when you remove the human element from it. I guess Lucas decided it was safer to have faceless clones with stormtrooper style helmets and droids blowing up around every corner in every scene for the "kids." Despite the original films having millions die, with many on screen, including some gore. lol Best way of summing it up. George Lucas made the "Wars" part of Star Wars a joke. Disney would come along and do it even worse. I was always the X-Wing Kid/Rebel trooper Kid. I was never the Jedi kid. I hated everything about the Jedi, and being the prequel films heavily focused on the Jedi and now a new faction "Sith" which used to just be called Dark Jedi before the prequels... and now the war aspect ie "PIlot/Troopers" were Droids/Clones... boy did they give me ZERO reason to enjoy these films. I guess it's why I like Phantom Menace more because at least it had Naboo Starfighter pilots, security forces and Gungan Warriors risking their lives, people who have friends/family/loved ones not numbers. ACTUAL WAR.

"That's gotta be hard on him, too he practically raised him" ... That is the whole meaning behind the Song Duel of Fates from Episode 1. As if Qui-Gon didn't die Anakin would of had the father he needed rather then the brother he got in Obi Wan
@scottb30347 ай бұрын
it is not since Duel of the Fates does not refer to that. Duel of the Fates was titled and composed for the End Credits not for Qui-Gon's duel with Maul. And that's also why cues are littered throughout the film climax and not just said duel. Additionally Qui-Gon would have made no difference to the outcome.
@Wailer3697 ай бұрын
Nope, the original comment is correct. The composer of Duel of the Fates confirmed that the name of the soundtrack is to communicate the importance of the fight. The face off between Darth Maul and Qui-Gon literally decides Anakin's fate. It's implied that if Qui-Gon had won, Anakin would have never have fallen to the darkside due to having a wiser, more experienced master. What seemed like a less pivotal fight in the climax of the Phantom Menace is actually the defining moment of Anakin's fall.
@scottb30347 ай бұрын
@@Wailer369 Incorrect. John Williams score editor Ken Wannberg for the soundtrack said Williams literally named and scored it as an End Credits suite. It was then cut up in the edit process for the film by Lucas and used in various sections of the film including during Padme and Anakin's parts in the final battle....it is also NOT used in the final section of the lightsaber duel where anything is decided with characters' deaths. It at best is a general reference to the events that play out on Naboo informing the rest of the saga and not anything specific (similarly to how Phantom Menace doesn't definitively refer to an entity-- could be maul, could be Palpatine, could be Jar Jar if you believe in that). Because the Dark Side was concentrated almost entirely in Darth Sidious; the Light Side was spread thinly amongst all the Jedi. The irony is, with so few Jedi left (thanks to Order 66), the Light was so completely concentrated in Yoda by the time he faced the Emperor that he was strong enough to fight him to a stalemate. It was the same with Obi-Wan Vs Vader. They were equally strong in the Light and Dark sides. Notice that neither was able to overpower the other in the Force Push. Anakin's path to the darkside was essentially fear to anger to hatred. So the Jedi could sense his anger but he fought it for most of his life. They originally felt his fear. It's why they were hesitant to train him. And part of the reason he wasn't given the rank of master was b/c he hadn't conquered that fear and anger. Pretty much from the moment he gave in and became Vader, he just let his anger reign and he wallowed in it. The entire temple scene into ending the war, he was just in a rage and was just letting it go and embracing it for the first time in his life outside of when he slaughter the sand people. It's why he got angry so quickly at Padme.. and then in the end it turned to hatred of Obi-wan.

Grevious had a massive collection of 30 lightsabers collected during the events of the clone wars. While most were collected from the Jedi he killed he also had a few that predated any of the events seen in the movies like the saber staff of Darth Zannah the apprentice to Sith master Darth Bane. Bane was the Sith that created the rule of 2 one master to hold all the power and an apprentice to crave it for themselves. They were both around 1,000 years before the events of episode 1 took place.

I always thought that a Jedis and Sith relationship is similar to that of a Vampire. There's a maker and the one who is turned.

If you watch the Clone Wars animated series, there’s some nuance on the Clones. They’re tragic victims of Order 66 themselves. They never knew they had that programming built into them until Palpatine activated it. They did trust and befriend and were loyal to the Jedi they served with - until Palpatine flipped that switch with those words.

Rogue One isn't a part of the originals, but it's among the Star Wars universe that was written, directed, and produced by people faithful to the Lucas storyline (Feloni & Favreau).

Yes the training talked about in this movie was about the ability to come back as a force ghost.

I recommend watching the CGI animated show "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" that started in 2008. The show fills in the events between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. The first two seasons are a bit rough and patchy, but it's worth sitting through the early episodes to get acquainted with the characters. The show often delves deeply into the personalities and motivations of individual clones. I leave it to you to watch either in release order or chronological order.

The commanding officer of the republic star destroyer that sends Grevious down toward the planet surface is none other than Capt. Needa who at this point in time held the rank of a Lieutenant Commander in the republic navy.

In episode VI, Obi-Wan's Force ghost confesses to Luke that he thought he could properly train Anakin like Yoda would have, but he failed miserably. This means that Anakin's training was not like that of any Padawan: Obi-Wan was too young and inexperienced to be a Jedi master and Anakin was too old to be initiated into the arts of the Force (if Qui-Gon Jinn had trained him, perhaps his destiny would have been different). It also didn't help much that the Council never trusted him, which explains Anakin's resentment toward the Jedi Order.

I'm not hating on all the other stuff Star Wars, but the only thing I think really adds to the story, oddly enough despite the hate, is the Obi Wan series. I've seen everything else. And some, if not most of it is fun and expands the universe and does world building, but it isn't main story. Obi Wan is main story. I actually liked it.

I’m 26 years old and Star Wars has always been a huge part of my life thanks to my father. I Absolutely enjoyed your reactions throughout my favorite fictional story of all time. Now knowing Anakins unfortunate destiny becoming Darth Vader you may not completely understand his actions and how he was so easily swayed against the Jedi order & into the dark side. I URGE you to watch The Clone Wars Animated show. Even if you don’t post these videos for your channel. In my opinion and many others TCW is the BEST Star Wars content there is. Appreciate the content and may the force be with you always.

For me, the Jedi council (mainly Windu), pushed A LOT Anakin to the dark side. They´re afraid of him, never truly trusted him, never gave him any serious mission... and mixed with Anakin fears (mostly for Padme) and feeling himself always excluded... the final step was all the Emperor´s manipulation during years but... the Jedi Council had big part of responsibility in this disaster. Even in the last chance he said the truth to Windu. Anakin tried and tried to follow the right path, but all these things became him in Darth Vader.

People saying don't watch the Disney films are talking about Episodes 7, 8, & 9. They are directed in an entirely new style at an entirely new audience and are arguably the worst 3 of the entire franchise for a lot of reasons...but I'd say they are still worth a watch ...you could certainly watch worse movies out there. I'd rate them collectively between 4 and 7 out of 10, and I'd rate all the other films between 6 and 9 out of 10. (I don't give out 10s) Now, as for Rogue One...BOY YOU BETTER watch that one!!!! It is absolutely amazing in every way and fills in a few plot questions between Episodes 3 & 4. Just for comparison, Episode 3 and Rogue One are tied for my favorite films of the entire franchise. I would be highly disappointed if you skipped Rogue One!! I think you would greatly enjoy it for many reasons!! Thanks for another fire 🔥 reaction bro !!!
@kennyhudson92017 ай бұрын
If you don't give out 10s, then you rate on a scale of 1 to 9. LOL.

@@kennyhudson9201 (i dont give out 10s that often, so when I do they have meaning) I wouldn't give out 9s on a 1 to 9 scale either. you're missing the point
