EB was terrible for Howell last year. I was excited when we hired EB. But then game after game passing 70 percent with a run blocking oline. Hope he learns from this like DQ did.

Look at the history of the Redskins in the "Modern Era" as well as around the league. Very few highly coveted college QB's have met expectations. 38 college QB's have been drafted since 2011, only 11 were given a second contract by their drafting team. Those 38 have a combined 1909 starts, going 1034-1035 with 7 ties. With the exception of Cousins, each of these named QB's have won super bowls. Tom Brady- 6th round, Kirk Cousins-4th round, Kurt Warner-undrafted, Doug Williams-Journeyman, Mark Rypien-6th round, Joe Theismann-4th round, with even more examples around the league! Sam Howell has demonstrated he is worthy of a chance to play as Washington's starter behind a upgraded O line. Parlay the number two pick overall this year into additional picks in 2024-2025 & possibly 2026. If Washington wants a rookie QB in this draft, Jalen Hurts was selected in the 2nd round, Washington currently has two 2nd round picks, & could get a future starter with either of those two picks cheaper & with less pressure of unreasonable expectations.

You're not finding an elite QB in the later rounds?? What?? Russel Wilson (on the seahawks), Brock Purdy, Tom Brady and so on were found in later rounds... Most elite Tackles are found in the first round. A great roster can carry an average QB... An elite QB cannot win a super bowl by himself. There is a reason Washington won 3 super bowls with 3 different QBs.... Because the coaching and roster was elite

@alwayszyon whose gonna start a rookie..or mariotta lmao 🤣 really...Sam is better than them and hes played in the NFL level a year..showed his tuffness and arm and feet to be able to get away and make 20 plus accurate yards down the field while the receiver is running for the ball with out slowing down..you are a Sam Howell hater and you expect someone to come in their 1st year and show out with what he had..the long walk and talk the GM had with Sam was positive for Sam this is why they are going hard and strategic in free agency..it's not for a new QB it's for Sam..
