The amount of times “Pendant” came up, it would be hilarious if all the ghosts were trying to lead them to a buried treasure, like a pendant, maybe snatched from one of the body-snatcher’s poor victims, secreted away somewhere down there. Maybe belonging to someone named Jonny. The disappearing red ball was fun.
@XenophobicAirportАй бұрын
This is just purely speculation, but when the vaults were initially accessed after hundreds of years they found items/artifacts belonging to the people that used to live down there, including a portrait of a woman. You can see them on display at Mercat Tours. There's also stuff embedded into the walls. It's very possible there's items that haven't been discovered yet buried down there, and ghosts are trying to lead people to, like you said.

@@toddwarring9782 That's stupid. "Ghosts" (there's no evidence to prove they're the dead but they're a real phenomena whether we like it or not) don't work on command. You can't just waltz in there for the night and expect something to happen. Even in the most haunted places there can be many days of nothingness then something insane happens. They actually have to live in a genuinely haunted occasion for a few months, that's more than enough time for something wild enough to happen to make Shane a believer.

I visited Edinburgh last year with my two best friends, and we took this tour. When we started the investigation, we were given these headsets to hear the guide (as there was about 25 of us altogether). Immediately after entering the vaults, my headset began to make strange whispering noises. Initially, I put it down to a malfunction of the device, but the tour guide told me that they’d never had an issue with them before. It happened many more times throughout the night, and at times it sounded like a young boy. In the room that was once used as a morgue, I felt something/someone grab my shoulder from behind, I turned around thinking it was one of my friends, and then I realized that I was at the very back of the group. I didn’t speak for over an hour after the tour ended, it was that jarring.
@watcherАй бұрын
As a Boogara, this gave me the chills. After we wrap, I'm usually offered the opportunity to walk through the location since I'm typically stationed outside of it or in a room that won't interfere with the investigation, but there was something about this location that made me go... hmm... howaboutno. Seems like I was right to decline lol! -Sam (post producer)

@LumenatraАй бұрын
@@-Zer0Dark- especially since the Vaults are like the ghost equivalent of Loch Ness and Nessie, everyone locally knows its bs but lord is it great for tourism. Not to totally piss on everyone's bonfire here but I'm a local so cynicism is baked into me. Mercat has a bit of a monopoly on the vaults (they have the best bit visually at least compared to what City of the Dead etc have access to), they have VERY questionable history skills - this is known and talked about often online and between tour guides, and the ghost stories are embellished at best and completely made up at worst lol. Imagine how disappointed and non-spooked people would be if they went "Oh yeah don't mind that, it's just an electronic fault because the headphones are a bit old". They can't just tell people the footsteps they're hearing are staff members doing their jobs because it takes you out the experience, so of course they assign that to "Mr Boots" aka The Watcher. At the end of the day you're paying for the experience more than anything with a ghost tour so if you were spooked regardless of how ghostly it is or isn't - that's all that matters (and not necessarily a bad thing, just the tourism industry).

There is a full "Evidence room" series at "Watcher TV" that actually shows a lot of evidence from the cams that doesn't make it into the show because it isn't so "compelling" but there are some things in those that I am actually surprised didn't make it because they were so good!! Lots of noises of breathing near cameras in empty rooms, some screams with no explanation, etc.

I've been in the Blair vaults twice this year and I have an experience to share indeed hahaha. So, I went to one of the rooms and walked straight to one of the corners to have a nice view of the whole room. When I stopped waiting for the rest of the people in the tour to come in, I started to feel dizzy and nauseous. I also felt really bad and heavy but I thought "meh, probably I'm just tired" cause I'm honestly skeptical hahahaha and then the tour guide started telling us about the room and said that one pregnant woman was murdered there, next to the corner I was apparently. She also said that it was pretty common for women to feel dizzy, nauseous, tired etc in that room. I was so surprised and also excited hahahahahaha and as soon as I walked through the arch to the next room, everything stopped as fast as it came (?) I don't know what caused that, but ngl it was pretty cool to experience something!

@@avo616 whatever you wish to call it, spirits, interference, it’s not necessarily intelligent replies but it’s oddly specific and repetitive. A lot of the GhoulBoys tasks assume whatever may, or may not, be there can respond in real time, which seems like a big ask. If a spirit exists, which is a big if, it’s not existing exactly the same as we are so it’s not beyond reason to think they can’t answer in real time because maybe time isn’t the same for them. Like watching an episode of a kids show that has audience participation, you see the question out of time with the asker, you never actually answer Dora. I’ve never been sold on the idea of supernatural but weird things happen and we don’t know everything, I’d be just as unsurprised if someone said ghosts are touring aliens that exist on a different plane than us so we can’t see them, would be about the same 🤷

We also have a phrase in Germany to separate Stalagmites from Stalactites. In German Stalagmites are named similiar: "Stalagmit" The German phrase to remember them by is "Der StalagMIT wächst MIT dir" which basically means "The stalagmite grows WITH you" (mit = with), because they start at the ground and grow taller with the years.

Amazing episode on the Blair Street Vaults! Funnily enough I used to live on Blair Street right above the vaults. This episode had me reminiscing about my time there. I went into the vaults once in 2021. When I was in there, I didn't have any paranormal encounters to speak of, but I do remember it being eerily quiet apart from the dripping of rain going in between the cracks of the stone above you). The building I lived in above the vaults was a different story, it is the most haunted place I have ever lived in. In general, it was the sort of place that you just didn't want to be in by yourself, gave off a creepy vibe. I remember one night in particular, my flatmate and I were just chilling in our own rooms when we heard clear footsteps walking down the corridor that separated our rooms. It was so obvious that we both heard it and mentioned it to each other at the same time with no prompting. Edinburgh is a spooky place in general, would love to see another episode on it at some point, maybe a midnight wander around Greyfriars Kirkyard, all the best guys big love from Scotland

At 23:09 the spirit box really does just have an ominous delivery of "devil". I forgot which other episode it was that it did this in, I think it was the one with the devil baby, but I remember Shane commenting on it before. I guess this is just proof that the voice actor for the spirit box gave that word a weird delivery.

Does anyone else see a face over Shane's shoulder at 45:33 that disappears and then reappears at 45:49 ? #debrief #evidence I think that might be the staircase so could it be one of the crew poking their head around the corner to check on him? I don't think its just shadows on the wall because it disappears and then reappears.

@erniosz2502Ай бұрын
That is 100% a face that was either put there during editing, or it was actually some kind of apparition. It seems too detailed to me to just be a glitch or a dust particle of some sort. Weird stuff man. Especially when they talked about a guy watching people with a creepy smile.
@doktorhk4774Ай бұрын
100%, yeah, that's super creepy. Also pretty sure that is the staircase, and it looks like something physical to me. You can see when it moves a little, the light shining on the staircase changes like it's blocking it, so I don't think it could be shadows. It could be a crewmember, but who knows?

For debrief: First off, love the evolution of equipment over the years. Any interest in using other popular ghost gear (music box, EMF lights, divining rods, Ouija board, etc) in future seasons? I see these in other ghost hunting shows and they probably don’t really do anything, but would be curious to see what happens when the Ghoul Boys use them.

I’ve been wondering this for ages and I mean this with the upmost respect - but if turning the mag light to the space between on and off essentially turns it into a touch lamp, why not just get an actual touch lamp? I feel like that would help negate the skepticism associated with this method. Love you guys TONS, happy ghost hunting!

That whole conversation going "sad often", "threshold pendant" and "age trip" is the first time something out of that box made coherent sense for a ghost. Someone being sad most of the time because they are stuck here and cannot cross the threshold to the afterlife. "Age trip" also makes a lot of sense as they've been on that journey to the afterlife for literal ages. Quite surprised with that one, to be honest. We sometimes have timely responses but this was pretty good...all up to the hilarious "Cake". Afterwards we also got words like "fate" and "peace". Not sure if I'm making too much of it but in the context it all sounded like a haunted spirit trying to rest in peace but being unable to.
@MorganCPhoenixАй бұрын
To me, it sounded like the spirit box responded “Spot” as an answer to “what was your dog’s name?” And it sounded as though it could have been in a local accent, as was recently discussed. 🧐 Love y’all!
