I’m glad to see you back lifting, though you have so many options. Just keep moving forward; that’s all you can do. I don’t think there isn’t anything you can’t do!

I haven't comment the retirement/focus on the Bodybuilding journey. I was just sad about it, but I fully understand the change. For me, as a w/l beginner with decades of different sports under me belt, I found with this channel, someone showing proper weightlifting technique, -well explained and accurate in every detail. Yes, there are girls, lifting more weight, but their style is not as yours. Yes the max. weight count at a competition, but for me style is also important. Now I am thrilled, seeing that you retire from the retirement! All the best!

As I've gotten older (I'm in Masters 50-55), I've found it much more sustainable for me to switch between weightlifting, bodybuilding, and strength building / powerlifting. Tommy Kono used to pivot to bodybuilding after weightlifting season and I think the variety can be complementary if you're smart about programming. No matter what, I'm eager to follow your journey!

This is amazing! I'm so happy you're getting back into weightlifting, and you have that reinvigorated drive again. You're a big reason why I love weightlifting. When I started crossfit, you were one of the first athletes I followed so I can get better at olympic lifting. I've improved so much since then, and you're definitely the reason why. I wish you all the best! Cool side note; this video came out on my Bday, lol.

Welcome back! I don't weightlift, buuut welcome back haha it's funny I was just talking to a gym friend about you and how inspired you are and how much fun I've had listening and watching your journey through lifting and navigating life. Then you posted this! I was really excited. I truly appreciate your authenticity and willingness and bravery to share even the tough parts of lifting and life. You keep things real and honest. 💛 Much love and I hope the family and lifting had been well. 😊

I had to take over a year off due to a chronic illness. It’s hard to come back. I feel super weak from where I was, and it’s demoralizing. I’m just taking it a little at a time, trying to get back to the numbers I was when I had to stop. I’m about three months in, also searching for focus. I understand your dilemma! Different circumstances, but the struggles are real. You have been successful since I started watching you, so I’m betting you pick the avenue that you will be more competitive in. I will watch and cheer for you no matter your choice.

Thats great...glad you are loving life. Im 59.did powerlifting for years. Hip,knee and shoulders surgery. I fell into the properform crap. Its NOT TRUE. lifting for healthe and powerlifting, bodybuilding are totally different. The human body was NEVER EVER ment to support weight we do. Joint tentents not to get into the dep stuff. Humans can not sustain that. I freakin loved it. Now im living with a crap load of issues... just exercise, enjoy life.

I don’t really know why people are saying “welcome back”? lol common ppl she’s been here the whole time, just in a different way. I think it’s awesome you are sharing your weightlifting return even if you end up deciding you don’t want to do it, it shows ppl it’s ok to change your mind based on your body and minds needs 🤷🏼♀️ anyone who shames you for that is just a hater lol 😆

Ok great. Good luck with the up and coming injuries just no way to get around them. Sucks to get old. You could get injured walking down the street. One thing with power lifting it's not if you get injured but it's when.
