Well done... and you keep smiling! I am a road cyclist and this type of terrain would strike fear in me. I have a mountain bike but more for gravel paths and I always feel a bit of a wuss when it comes to large boulders and loose shale. I haven't fallen off yet! but have come close. Tend to walk anything that looks remotely challenging. Looking forward to your next adventure....

You’re in the exact same position that I was in before I did this adventure! I was so uncomfortable with loose terrain myself at the beginning and falling off at the start didn’t help! But I have in all honesty lost the fear. Even the worry of falling off doesn’t bother me anymore because it happened so much on this trip! 😂 it took probably until the last day though to let loose properly. So worth it! 😁 x

The elements, the hike a bike sections, the terrain, the mental endurance, the hardtail bike, the fatigue........ That was some set of challenges all rolled into one. Amazing Fiona!!!! It reminded me of when a Girlfriend introduced me to skiing, she told me the best way to learn is to go to the top (black run) and by the time you get to the bottom you are a skier......lets just say, just as well she was a great kisser. Im so pleased you caught the bug and yes, the Pentlands is a great place to play and have fun on a bike and its on the doorstep. Mountain biking is a great sport, its all about fun and that feeling you get when you feel progression. I know from your wee comments this was another one of those personal challenges for you, well done, you smashed it. xx

Haha just as well she was a great kisser 😂 you do make me laugh. There was no such payoff for my attempt at this adventure sadly! 😂 I’ve since been up the Pentland’s for a wee run. Glentress is next on the cards 😁 x

Good morning Fiona. I loved the shameless unsympathetic laughter when poor Bryan fell off his bike ! I think Rannoch Moor is meant to look like that; in the mist & clag - just as beautiful as on a clear Summer's day, but more atmospheric. Incredible scenery mate & much respect for another incredible challenge. Look forward to sharing the next one with you xx

If I'd been you, after the duress of days 1 & 2 I would have given up when greeted by such a wet start to day three. What a fantastic route though, rendered no less beautiful by the lowering weather.
