Big step forward getting that done! I just watched a new video from a canadian urbex explore channel, visit the crash site of a B36 in Newfoundland Canada. Most of the plane is still there!

“Most of the plane is still there” is bit of a stretch, as I feel there may be 20% at best. I’ve studied every photograph I’ve been able to find of that site over the years. With a picture of a small surviving potion of the flight deck be most helpful.

So the ring is made by rolling a rectangular cross section tube?
@B36HPeacemaker10 күн бұрын
The outer ring is 2.250” tall. The top of the ring is made from 1x1” square tubing. Where the remaining 1.250” is an ‘L’ shape all the way around. So, the cross section is a square on top of a backwards L.
