Gojira is one of the best metal of the world , don't sleep on them ^^

Joe and Mario, the lead singer/guitarist and the drummer, are brothers. Their mother died just before they recorded this album. The lyrics are a great reflection on the pain of their loss. “Don’t lock the door on me.. you’d kill me face down.. dead..” If you don’t choose to go for that interpretation, it can also be the pain of unrequited love… or any loss, really. Gojira is an intelligent and passionate group. What they sing about is just as important as how they play it. But they have some crushing songs, and got their start as an OG death metal band in 1996. How deep you’re willing to dive with them depends on your tolerance for their heaviness. This particular songs is one of their gentler offerings. Let me contribute by adding that this video was recorded in her old studio at their house in France, where she taught Joe and Mario to be artists from a young age, and that the dancer/protagonist of the video is their cousin. 🙂

they started heavy death metal but the latest 3 albums stuff is more accessible , then if you're more into heavy stuff , check out their first albums ckeck out ,them live as well since it's litterally one of the tightest metal band ever and one themost nluential of the last decades , unique band.

Wasn't real happy with this album by Gojira, but this song is my fave by them. Just heavy and scary. Mario one of the great drummers of last 20 years. Wheel of Songs dope idea. Need to do some Opeth....deep rabbit hole. Burden, Porcelain Heart, Harlequin Forest, Grand Conjuration.
